THE MALL BUZZED to life, soft music flowed through the speakers, lights illuminating the different shops. the signs turned on, neon lights drawing attention to the shops.

noa perked up, dark bags residing beneath her eyes. sleep had proved to be an enemy, rather then her friend. she'd gotten no more then three hours of sleep, the time she'd slept sparse. she'd woken more times then she could count, the final time she woke she didn't let herself fall back asleep. she knew the nightmares would plague her mind, as they had been all night.

her eyes squinted, during the night it was easy to mistake anything that looked like a person. eyes playing tricks on her tired mind.

she pushed the blanket off of her body, her sock covered feet gently hitting the ground as she stood. chills ran up her spine, she let out a small yawn, fists rubbing at her tired eyes.

she neared the gated door, ears perking up at the sound of the elevator opening. her hands gently grasped the metal gate, leaning into it her eyes spotted terry. "hey!" she called out, watching as he slowed, turning his body to look at the girl. "yeah?" he questioned, taking a few steps to the gate. hands clipping his belt in place, "the bathroom in here doesn't work, it's fake." she told, pursing her lips at him.

terry nodded his head, shrugging lightly. "i'll tell cj" he told, looking towards the elevator before back to the girl. "well i'm tell you." noa told, terry huffed a sigh.

reluctantly he neared the door, kneeling down the keys hit the ground. the sound of the door unlocking echoed in her ears, standing he pulled the door open. noa smiled softly, muttering a small thank you beneath her breath as she walked to find the bathroom.

anna followed quietly behind noa, the two entered the bathroom. the harsh white lights momentarily stinging noa's eyes. her hands grasped a few paper towels, wetting them with the icy cold water she dotted at the dried blood that resided on her neck. she grimaced at the crimson blood. she'd discarded the hoodie she'd worn, blood stained the white fabric.

anna glanced to the girl, before she settled her eyes back on the mirror. "do you have any siblings?" anna questioned softly, now glanced to the women before lightly shaking her head. "no, my parents liked to say they were one and done." noa told softly, pushing her hair behind her ears. "they were young when they had me. missed out on their early twenty's because of me." noa mumbled, shrinking when she realized she'd over shared.

her eyes glanced to the women who stared sadly at the girl. noa shrugged, clearing her throat. "doesn't matter now." noa told, turning she lent her back against the cold counter top. "did you have any kids?" noa questioned, perhaps this was their own ice breaker. asking questions about their lives, the ones that ended the day prior.
