| Chapter Fifty — Missing Pt.2 |

The mood immediately sours as soon as a specific person shows up.

All eyes turn to Mingyu as he storms inside the station angrily, phone tight in his grip as he holds it by his side.

He's obviously angry, anyone could tell by his expression alone. It's just a matter of why.

"Where is he?" Mingyu's jaw clenches and unclenches. It's bewildering how it doesn't just immediately lock up.

Junhui's the first one to speak, "Get the hell out of this station, Kim Mingyu—"

"Did you not hear me? I said—" Mingyu slams his hands against the desk, sharp eyes glaring right towards Junhui, "Where the hell is he?"

"Woah woah, okay—" Soonyoung stands up, holding a hand out, "Get the fuck away from us. Step back and we won't have you put in cuffs."

"I don't give a damn if you put me in cuffs— Tell me where the fuck he is!" Mingyu growls.

"Who are you even talking about?" Junhui scoffs.

Soonyoung sends the older a look, as if the answer were the most obvious thing in the entire world. And it literally was, "Really?"

"Okay, okay—" Junhui sighs deeply, looking up at Mingyu, "Talk nice and slow. Tell us what's happening."

"Minghao texted me earlier to meet him at his place and I wait for almost 45 minutes. I texted him throughout that time, and he didn't respond. And right when I'm about to leave to go look for him, he texts me to meet him here. So don't let me say this shit again," Mingyu leans forward, eyes so dark it almost hypnotizes Soonyoung and Junhui, "Where the fuck is he?"

Junhui sends Soonyoung a glance, "I...?" He doesn't know anything about Minghao coming into the station today. Soonyoung had filled him in on the whole security camera thing, said Minghao wouldn't be back until later, "Why is everybody disappearing?" He throws his head in his hands.

"He went to look for Shua." Soonyoung says, shrugging, "He told me he had a plan to look through every security camera in town. He never said anything about coming back here." He pauses, blinking dumbly, "I didn't even know he was still talking to your ass."

Mingyu stands there, going silent for a weirdly long time, almost as if he's thinking deeply about what the hell is going on.

"He was really insisted on leaving," Soonyoung says, all too late in realizing, "He was kind of rushing. He said he had somewhere to be, but it was like he'd rather die than be late."

Mingyu stares at the floor, brows permanently furrowed together as the gears in his head run almost haywire.

He pulls out his phone to check something immediately once his head tells him to.

It's when Mingyu notices that his most recent email had in fact been read does he feel his heartbeat pick up. He clenches his jaw again, hurriedly realizing that he had not even touched his mail app today.

He's been worrying so much about Minghao these past few days, that he's been doing nothing but sit in complete silence and drown in his own thoughts, even if specific people were expecting him to do anything but that.

"Fuck," He manages to spit out, face twisting into so many emotions it's hard to keep up, "Goddamn it!" He shouts, stuffing his phone back in his pocket and immediately whipping around to run out the station in horror.

There's no way.

As the cold air engulfs Mingyu as soon as he pushes the door open, he feels like he's been slapped in the face, like everything he's ever built for himself here these past few months was finally and slowly falling apart right before his eyes.

Minghao was never supposed to find out. He was never supposed to even know that Mingyu was in a gang. But of course, his mouth toppled out nonsense because the only thing he could think about during each of their fights was losing Minghao.

But now he realizes that every single amount of the truth he's ever spilled is in fact the very thing that's pushed Minghao away.

But what scares Mingyu most of all is what Minghao found out. Sure, he saw the email, but what about everything else? How many did he look at? If he did succeed in getting Mingyu out, if he did succeed in breaking into his home while he was gone, Mingyu can't help but imagine all the shit he's found.

Mingyu wants to punch himself in the fucking face for hiding them in such an obvious spot.

In his defense, he didn't think Minghao would ever do something as reckless as this.

Then again, it's Xu Minghao.

And Xu Minghao would do anything for the people he loves.
