| Chapter Fourty - Three — Isolate |

"You okay?" Jeonghan's voice pierces right through whatever Joshua's thinking. The slight volume in Jeonghan's voice makes him realize how many times he's actually been called.

"Yeah, I'm fine. What do you ask?" Joshua smiles, crossing his arms and leaning on the table as he looks at up him.

"You've just been—" Jeonghan clicks his tongue, shrugging and using two hands to hold his warm coffee mug, "— You've been zoning out for like 10 minutes. You're not acting yourself."

"What do you mean?" Joshua hummed.

"I think you're looking too far into this, babe. I'm fine," Joshua insists, "Just tired."

"Then go and get some sleep. You're freaking me out," Jeonghan chuckles softly, taking a few gulps of his coffee to pass time.

Joshua stares at Jeonghan, "Are you calling me crazy or something?" He lets out a shaky laugh.

"What?" Jeonghan's face scrunches, "That is far from what I was doing."

"What were you doing?"

"Why are you making such a big deal out of this?" Jeonghan asks this time, slamming his mug down on the table with such force they're both surprised it doesn't shatter, "I simply told you to get some rest and now you're acting like this."

"Like this?" Joshua scoffs, "Like what?"

"Now I can call you crazy." Jeonghan deadpans. Joshua feels like he's been punched in the gut, "This whole conversation is fucking useless."

Joshua rises to his feet in a puff of anger, "What's your problem?"

"No— What's your problem?" Jeonghan rolls his eyes, walking over to the sink, "And to be honest with you, I really don't even know what the hell we're fighting over."

"You rose your voice at me first." Joshua reminds him, "All I did was answer your questions, why the fuck are you on my case about everything recently?"

"Is wanting to know things about my soon to be husband that much of an inconvenience?" Jeonghan spits, pouring his coffee down the drain. He didn't have an appetite for anything anymore, "Its my bad for wanting check up on you."

"You're being childish."

"Me?" Jeonghan cackles, "Have you heard yourself? Calling me out for things I didn't even do." He rolls his eyes, "What're you gonna do, go and tell your Daddy on me now?"

Silence. It feels like Joshua's been ripped away from his own heart.

Jeonghan seems to backtrack, immediate regret painting his features. Joshua practically watches the anger leave his body, "Shua, I'm sorry."

"Leave me alone," Joshua didn't want to be around any of this right now.

"Joshua, come on," Jeonghan whines, watching Joshua walk towards the door to grab his coat and keys, "Lets talk— I'm sorry. I-I was wrong. That was wrong of me to say."

"No, you were right." Joshua shrugs, "This fight was fucking useless. But I'm glad to know that I was wrong about you being the only one who would never use my father against me. Thank you, Jeonghan. Thank you."

"Shua—"

Joshua slams the door shut.
