| Chapter Sixty - Two — A new me |
| FINAL CHAPTER |Minghao just wanted to make the world a better place.
He wanted to rid of all the drug dealers and murderers and criminals, all the people who caused society to worsen.
He just wanted to be an officer.
Why didn't the world just want him to be one? Why couldn't the universe just have him grow up with a loving family who supported his dream? Why did it all have to end up with him this way? All locked up in prison, so dangerous to the point where they have to move him somewhere better.
So that's what's happening now.
It's a few days after he'd killed those inmates, and he'd just been told today that he's being transferred to a different facility, as well as that he'd have to return to court to get more time added to his sentence.
Well, he was truly in it now.
He always knew he was fucked up. But this bad?
He never would've guessed.
He wonders if his friends have found out yet, considering how the law is legally abided to let family or friends know their loved one's whereabouts.
Does Mingyu know? Is he even up yet?
Minghao's head bangs against the bus wall as he lets it rest against the back of the vehicle, smiling silently to himself.
His wrists are cuffed tightly together, arms lying on his lap innocently, ankles side by side with his posture as sharp as a dancer.
He lets his eyes wander around the bus.
There were two officers in the back with him, and then there was just a bus driver. He finds it a little funny. He brutally murdered his fellow inmates just a few days ago and 2 officers is all they had to hold him back with?
Fuck that.
His brain rings as the rain falls from the sky, hitting the top of the bus in little dots as they drive through the night.
Minghao waits until they get to a more rural era before he strikes.
He doesn't even think about it, death the only thing on his mind as he shoots up from his spot, linking his cuffed wrists around one of the guard's throats, pulling him back until he's choking to death.
As he draws blood from tugging so hard on the first officer's neck, he turns to the other one, just catching the shocked look on the man's face before Minghao's raising a foot, kicking him square in the chest and watching him slam against the window of the bus, eyes fluttering from the blow to his head.
With that one distracted, Minghao turns his attention back on the first officer, groaning as he pulls harder, having the satisfaction of hearing bones crack as he breaks the man's neck without taking another second to think.
He simply laughs, kicking the body away to stand and take care of the other one.
The bus is beginning to swerve a bit, Minghao can only guess the driver is panicking and not knowing what to do.
Minghao watches the officer slip out his gun, pulling the trigger and blowing the bullet right through his shoulder so fast the whiplash slaps Minghao in the face. He tries not to let the gunshot faze him though, only having fallen back momentarily before he's punching the guy in the face repeatedly, swatting the gun from his grip and pressing him to the window of the bus by his throat.
"I'm getting flashbacks," Minghao laughs manically, two hands wrapped around the man's airways.
He watches him wheeze for oxygen one.... two... three more times before his eyes finally flutter shut.
