sorry if u don't like them idc

"You already have like sixty followers!" I said happily as I sat on the toilet and watched him get ready. Right now he was styling his hair, which was much more entertaining than I ever would have thought. The way he looked so determined, it was sexy as hell.

"Put on some music," he said over his shoulder as he ran some gel through his hair. "It's too quiet."

"Alrighty."

I grabbed the aux cord and his phone and went to his music library, which was filled with only about twenty or so songs. And one of them was that weird complementary one that everyone gets when you create an iTunes account.

"Oh, I didn't know you liked The 1975," I said lightly as I scrolled through the few songs. "I didn't even know you knew they existed."

"Are you fucking kidding me? They're the only modern music I listen to. Everything else is just plain shitty."

"Whatever, old man."

"Easy there, sunshine. This old man is not above dragging you back to that bed."

"Are you sure you wouldn't break a hip?"

He snorted. "You're a little shit, you know that?"

"Yes," I smiled sweetly. "I know."

I finally hit shuffle and the first song to play was Girls, which was pretty ironic seeing as it was basically our situation.

Bite you face to spite your nose
17 and a half years old
Worrying about my brother finding out
What's the fun in doing what you're told?

"This is sort of weird, isn't it?" He asked with a wide grin. "This song was like written for us, sweet cheeks."

"Yeah, it sort of was," I smiled at him. "I like it though. It sounds nice."

"I always liked this song."

"What's you favorite?"

"Favorite song by them?"

"Yeah."

"Me."

"Should we listen to it?"

"No, not yet. I want to wait until later."

"Aw."

"Patience, baby. I have a plan for when you hear it for the first time."

"Really?"

"Yep. I'm smarter than you think."

"I think you're very smart," I said sweetly.

They're just girls breaking hearts
Eyes bright, uptight, just girls
But she can't be what you need if she's 17
They're just girls
They're just girls

"You're 17," he observed in a wise voice like he had just solved some complex math equation. "You're not going to break my heart, are you?"

"Hmm, I don't know," I pretended to think, tapping my chin with my index finger. "Maybe. Maybe not."

"Please don't."

I looked up at him with a smile on my face, expecting to see one on his. But there wasn't. He was just staring into the mirror, a slightly sad expression on his beautiful face as he shaved very carefully.

It nearly broke my heart to hear him say that in such a serious tone. So I got up from my seat and wrapped my arms around him from behind, my cheek resting on his rippling back muscles as he let out a deep breath.
