Title: Shadows of Strength
That night, Zeke's mom, Hera, held him close. She had tears in her eyes and her voice shook. She asked Zeke to promise something significant. She begged him to never do what his brother did. Her words were full of love and concern. It was a very emotional moment, a mother's heartfelt hope for a better path for her child. After Zeke promised his mother, the room became hushed, as if it was holding their feelings.
The next day, when Zeke went to school, he noticed that everyone was strangely looking at him. Some bully groups gave him odd looks and even some girls were staring at him strangely. When he walked into his classroom, he could feel that the whole atmosphere had changed, and there was a feeling of anger in the air.
Zeke sensed the atmosphere had shifted, and anger lingered in the air. He sat down in his seat. Beside him, a guy named Jax was sleeping, seemingly unconcerned. Jax woke up and looked at Zeke differently than he looked at others. Jax looked at everyone, and the class got scared. Then he looked at Zeke, looked away, and went back to sleep. Zeke felt something odd and started listening to the class.
After school, Zeke walked down the street. After about 5 minutes, he turned onto another street and saw Otto, Lucas, and a group of 10 to 20 others, all holding rods. They were waiting to get back at Zeke. Fear rushed over Zeke as he found himself surrounded. The group started beating him, causing injuries all over his body. Zeke's head was bleeding. In the midst of this, someone approached them. Zeke's vision was blurry, but he sensed a familiar feeling he had felt before in class. It was Jax. Slowly, he realized that the person coming towards them was Jax.
Jax fought them off and rushed Zeke to the hospital. When Zeke woke up, he saw Jax sitting there, munching on apples. It made Zeke laugh, finding it adorable to see Jax eating apples.
Jax might seem tough, but deep down, he's quite playful. He walked over to Zeke and playfully tapped his head. Zeke asked him, "Why did you help me?" Jax simply replied, "Make sure you get home safely."
When Zeke entered home Hera, his mother, saw Zeke's wounds, she picked him up and asked what happened. Zeke didn't say anything directly. He went to his room, locked the door, and started crying. He thought that the whole situation was because of his brother, Leon, which made him angry at Leon.
While dealing with his emotions, Zeke received a message on his phone. It was from Jax, although Zeke didn't know how Jax got his number. When Zeke read the message, it said, "Hey, dummy ass, are you crying in a room like a baby? LOLLOLO." Reading this, Zeke stopped crying and replied to Jax.
The morning after that night, Zeke stepped out of his house, and to his surprise, Jax was waiting for him. They walked together to school. When other students saw Jax and Zeke together, they were shocked. A gang approached Zeke, ready to attack, but Jax stepped up with an angry face, scaring the bullies away. However, there was a guy on the rooftop of a building watching them. Zeke looked up and saw one guy smiling.
As Zeke and Jax entered the classroom, the entire class noticed their entrance. The students were stunned into silence by the sight of them together. Zeke and Jax sat together on the back bench, becoming close friends over time. That day, during lunch break, a stranger named Ray, one of his classmates, came up to Zeke and asked, "How did you and Jax become such good friends?" Ray looked nervous as he told Zeke that Jax had a reputation for being angry and dangerous.
Zeke was confused and asked Ray why he was scared of Jax. In a shaky voice, Ray explained that Jax wasn't like everyone else. He shared that Jax was into street fighting and even participated in tournaments at the Black House. According to rumors, Jax was unbeatable and a tough fighter. Ray's words were full of fear, and he wiped the sweat from his face as he spoke.
After school, Zeke and Jax were walking on the road, heading home. In the middle of their walk, Zeke asked Jax if he could teach him how to fight. Jax chuckled and advised Zeke to just make it home safely. Zeke asked again, but Jax repeated the same response. Once they reached their respective homes, Zeke received a message from Jax. The message contained a list of exercises and a diet plan for Zeke.
The next morning, on their way to school, Jax asked Zeke about the workout from the day before. Zeke laughed and confessed he'd only done about 20% of what Jax had suggested. "Those push-ups turned into pushing TV remote buttons," Zeke joked, and they both laughed as they walked to school.
As they walked, Jax asked Zeke if he had any plans for the upcoming weekend. Zeke replied, "No, I'm free." Jax grinned and suggested, "How about we go hang out this weekend?" Zeke's face lit up with excitement as he agreed. "Sounds like fun," he said. With smiles on their faces, they reached the school.
In their classroom, Zeke and Jax settled into their seats as the first class began. Suddenly, two new transfer students entered the room – a boy and a girl. All the boys' eyes were drawn to the girl, who appeared as beautiful as an angel. Similarly, the girl couldn't help but notice the boy, whose stylish and attractive presence caught her attention. The girl's name was Honey, and the boy's name was Mikey.
Interestingly, Mikey's gaze met Jax's across the room, creating a moment of connection. Mikey then took the seat next to Zeke, while Honey chose a spot at the front of the class. The classroom seemed to have a new aura with the arrival of these two intriguing students.
Zeke found it hard to pay attention in class as he kept looking at Honey until the lunch break. Jax and Mikey noticed his distracted behavior and Gave each other annoyed looks and then focused on Zeke
Playfully, they asked, "Do you like Honey?" Mikey even said, "Hey, Zeke! I think Honey caught you looking!" Honey looked back at Zeke and then went for lunch with her new friends. Feeling embarrassed, Zeke covered his face in embarrassment, worried about the situation.
Reacting quickly, Zeke nervously put his hand over Mikey's mouth, trying to brush it off. Jax and Mikey burst into laughter, turning the moment into a shared joke. The lunch break became unexpectedly amusing
After school, Zeke and Jax were walking their usual route when they noticed someone behind them—it was Mikey. Jax looked at Mikey with a serious expression and asked, "Why are you coming with us?" In a humorous tone, Mikey responded, "Well, you two are in my way!"
Their voices started to rise as they engaged in a playful argument. Suddenly, Zeke intervened, telling them to stop. "Shut your mouths, both of you!" he exclaimed. Although Zeke was scolding them, he wasn't looking at them—he was watching Honey walking ahead on the road.
In the middle of their talk, Mikey loudly teased, "Hey, Zeke, your crush is walking!" Zeke and Jax quickly shushed Mikey, trying to stop his words. They all laughed, and their friendship started growing. While Jax and Mikey weren't best buddies, their interactions became friendlier, all because of Zeke. They each went their way toward their homes. When he got home, Zeke started a vigorous workout, pushing himself to his limits.
