OVERCOME CHAPTER 4

Title: THE NEW MORNING

The following day was a refreshing Sunday morning. Zeke woke up to a message from Jax, asking him to come outside for a talk. As he stepped out, the signs of a sleepless night were evident under his eyes with dark circles. Jax noticed this and questioned Zeke about it.

With a hint of tension, Zeke admitted, "I was chatting with Honey all night." Jax playfully gave him a friendly tap on the head, showing his understanding. Then, Jax suggested they go for a walk outside.

While walking, Jax turned to Zeke and asked, "Have you considered changing your hairstyle?" Zeke defended his hairstyle, claiming it was excellent as it was. But Jax positioned him in front of a mirror and candidly told him that he might need a change if he wanted to catch Honey's attention. Zeke's surprise was evident.

Intrigued, Zeke asked Jax for advice on changing his hairstyle. Jax decided to take Zeke to a nearby hair salon. Upon arriving, they were surprised to find Mikey getting his hair colored. The unexpected encounter left both Jax and Zeke in disbelief.

Jax seized the moment and asked Mikey to suggest a hairstyle for Zeke. Mikey enthusiastically guided the barber, giving specific instructions. After about 30 minutes, Zeke looked in the mirror and couldn't believe his eyes – he looked incredibly handsome with his new hairstyle.

Jax and Mikey agreed that the change was a success, and Zeke's appearance had taken a positive turn.

Upon arriving home, Zeke's mother caught sight of his new hairstyle and couldn't help but chuckle. "You look so handsome, Zeke," she said, her words accompanied by a gentle kiss on his forehead. This simple gesture filled Zeke with happiness, as he hadn't seen his mother's smile in such a long time.

Later, after a quick visit to the bathroom, Zeke couldn't help but notice changes in his body. The consistent exercises he had been doing were starting to show their effects. As the day came to an end.

As usual, Jax and Zeke headed to school the following morning together. Amidst their conversation, Mikey joined them, and the trio entered the school's main entrance. The school was vast, accommodating over 2000 students across various branches.

In their designated branch called the Computers branch, they were placed in the 1A class. As they strolled through the bustling hallways, Zeke caught sight of someone familiar gazing at him from the top of their class building. Intrigued, he pointed it out to Jax, who also looked up but didn't see anyone there. Shrugging it off, they continued and entered their classroom, which led to a hushed murmur among the other students who had noticed Zeke's curious glance.

As the boys and girls in the class noticed Zeke's attention, an unexpected turn of events occurred. Honey, with a confident stride, approached Zeke, much to the surprise of the other boys in the room. Ignoring their curious stares, Honey asked Zeke for a selfie, Zeke's face turned beet red as he posed for the selfie with Honey, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment amidst the curious gazes of his classmates and they both smiled for the camera. The classroom was suddenly filled with a mix of shock and jealousy among the other students witnessing the interaction.

After school, as Jax, Zeke, and Mikey walked down a street, an unsettling sight unfolded. Behind them, a group of around 50 students from South Public High School, led by Tie, were following closely. Each of them held menacing weapons like rods and baseball bats, creating a tense atmosphere.

As tension thickened, another group from a different gang appeared, adding to the confusion. Among them, Zeke recognized a face he had seen before – the person he had noticed from the top of the school building. Urgently, he informed Jax that this was the individual he had spotted earlier. The situation grew even more precarious.
The person Zeke had observed from the top of the school building was none other than Erlik. He approached, accompanied by 10 members. Addressing Jax directly, Erlik stated his intention to fight. This caught the attention of Tie and his gang, who assumed Erlik was on their side. However, Erlik swiftly turned Tie's face towards him and made a bold declaration. He challenged them, asserting that if they wished to harm his school's students, they would have to face him first. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of tension and anticipation.

In a stunning display of strength, Erlik and his gang swiftly took down Tie's gang brutally and efficiently. Jax keenly observed the way Erlik's undercommand members fought with an incredible force. Despite Erlik not lifting a finger himself, his mere presence seemed to command respect and obedience from his crew. The 10 members accompanying Erlik managed to overpower and defeat the 50 members of Tie's gang, leaving them beaten and incapacitated. The scene was both shocking and awe-inspiring, showcasing Erlik's undeniable authority and the fearsome reputation he held.

After the intense encounter, Zeke turned to Jax, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Who's that guy?" he asked, still trying to process the powerful scene they had just witnessed. Jax's gaze remained on Erlik and his group as he explained, "That's Erlik. He's one of  the top figures in our school, respected by everyone. He's from another branch, Electronics, and Computers." then "Those other 10 members," Jax explained, "they're also top dogs from different classes within their branch." Jax's words carried a tone of admiration, showing that Erlik's reputation was something significant.

As Erlik and his group departed, Jax turned to Mikey and Zeke, a thoughtful expression on his face. "If you guys are interested, I can teach you some fighting skills," Jax offered. Zeke's face lit up with excitement as he eagerly responded, "Yes!" Mikey, on the other hand, grinned and declined, saying, "I've got a lot on my plate right now, so I'll pass."

Once Mikey returned home, Mikey's mansion was luxurious. His room was grand, filled with opulence. he headed to his spacious room, which was connected to an impressive underground training area. As he stepped into the room, an air of transformation swept through it, almost as if the room itself recognized his presence. Mikey's determination filled the space as he began his rigorous training regimen. He directed his energy towards a sturdy boxing bag, his powerful strikes causing the entire room to vibrate with intensity.

Zeke began his exercises at home, feeling motivated. He remembered that Jax informed him that they would start their training tomorrow.

On the other hand, Erlik walked alone on the road, then he started laughing the sounds sending shivers through the dark. His presence radiated danger, leaving an unsettling mark on the night.
