you woke up at 7 in the morning to start your routine, freshening yourself up so you could start work on the novel. after thumbing through the rough draft and the final product, you began making edits and cuts. luckily it wasn't that difficult considering how you wrote it. the story remained the same, and you took out 3 pages within 20 minutes.
a knock at the door interrupted your thoughts, and you went to answer it. "oh, ayaka, how may i help you today?"
"good morning Y/N! i was wondering if you had some time today to help me grab some new clothing? i want your opinion."
"uhh," you turned around, seeing the large stack of paper on your desk and an unfinished draft. well... i have 3 more days and i made a lot of progress. i guess taking a break would help me a little? "now?"
"mhm," she nodded. "are you available to accompany me?"
"i can," you affirmed, grabbing your shoes and slipping them on. "let's go!"
both of you went to the store to buy fabric for ayaka's new outfit, and something about ayaka seemed very strange. she kept holding up the articles to your face and checked if you liked it or not. it was very odd, and something about the whole ordeal seemed very suspicious.
"ayaka... aren't we here to buy things you need for your outfit?"
"yes, why?"
"why do you keep holding it up to me?"
"to get your opinion of course," she said, however you could hear the nervousness behind her voice.
"... this isn't your outfit, is it?"
"w-what?! of course it is," ayaka said.
"don't lie to me."
she sighed, "who made you so perceptive? there's no point hiding it now... yeah. it's for you. sorry for lying... i just wasn't sure you'd say yes to my offer."
"well you're correct, but now that i'm here i might as well."
she clapped her hands, "awesome!"
now she was able to be more free finding out what you liked. after purchasing the fabric both of you liked, she brought it to an expert seamstress. after taking measurements, it only took her 5 hours to make it. ayaka decided to run around inazuma city together to pass some time. by the time you got back, your outfit was ready, however there was another outfit next to it.
huh, weird. did someone pick out the same fabric as me?
"thank you," you said, gratefully accepting the bag that had your outfit in it.
"Y/N, go change in that room," ayaka said. "i'm going to pay."
"what?? no! ayaka please don't pay," you said, grabbing your wallet.
"Y/N i swear to the archons please listen to me. it'll be worth it, okay?"
you groaned, "i'm paying you back though."
begrudgingly, you walked to the room where you needed to get changed. the fabric was soft and delicate yet durable, a wonderful fit. after changing, you saw a sight that stunned you into silence.
"there you go," ayaka said, straightening out the familiar person's attire. "all done! thank you for sending your measurements to my brother."
"of course," he smiled, looking at his new matching outfit. "thank you to your brother for the accommodations."
ayaka sensed your presence and turned around, "oh! Y/N! my my you look amazing!"
the stranger turned around, and it only confirmed what you thought was just a figment of your imagination. he waved at you, "hey there."
