"Y/N?"
tighnari walked around gandharva ville, looking to talk to you since he had another mission to tend to.
"go check your room," cyno's spouse suggested. "i'll go start the mission alone, just meet up with me if you can."
he nodded, "alright. send your duskbird if you need anything."
they flashed him an assuring smile, "leave it to me."
after calling your name a few more times, he knocked on your shared bedroom door, opening it slightly. "hey Y/N-"
he was stunned to silence, seeing you cry on the couch in a burrito blanket. the sight of you in the blanket was adorable, but your tears made him worried.
"hey Y/N," he said gently, walking over to the side of the couch and taking a seat. "are you feeling okay?"
you wiped your tears off your face and turned away. "g-go on your mission. i'm fine."
"well if my spouse is crying in a pile of blankets, that doesn't really strike me as someone who's alright," tighnari said, taking one of your hands in his. "and besides, the mission can wait. what's troubling you, sweetheart?"
"i told you, i'm okay," you said. "please don't throw the mission for me."
tighnari leaned over and pressed a lingering kiss to your lips. "do you think i can focus on the mission if you're like this? absolutely not Y/N, nothing will get done. please just tell me what's wrong."
"it's just... you know when you get frustrated to the point you can't handle it anymore?"
he nodded, "of course."
"i'm just at that phase where i can't handle it."
"don't worry Y/N, i completely understand it," he said. "what's gotten you so frustrated?"
"it's just book ideas," you sighed. "it's such a stupid thing."
"it's not stupid if it's making you so frustrated that you're breaking down. you have a right to feel what you feel, remember that okay?"
you nodded, leaning into him. "but what about the mission?"
"cyno's spouse is covering for me," tighnari said.
"you can't keep letting them cover for you so much," you scolded him.
"it's their job," tighnari said playfully. "and in any case, they asked me to care for you first."
you sighed, "if you say so."
"now, let's come up with some story ideas together, shall we?"
