sixteen

the party started with games. yangyang and renjun gets to choose who they want the pairs to be and i just got the bad luck today.

i'm paired with giselle who doesn't even talk to me. haechan is paired with jeno which i don't like to see. and everyone else is just there, paired up with someone i don't care about.

❝the game's in the pool!❞ renjun screamed at us. we all went to the pool and we were instructed to choose who lifts up who.

we were so crowded in because we had a lot of pairs. only the boss, renjun and yangyang's out there.

❝you can do this!❞ i heard jeno tell haechan.

the game was about pushing each other and making sure your partner doesn't fall from your shoulders.

i hold giselle very tight so she doesn't fall when ningning pushed her with great force. a smile appears in giselle's face when she got the other team lose.

❝at least i'd have fun tonight.❞ she said to me and commanded me to run around. we started pushing the other pairs.

jaehyun and taeil lost and they started blaming each other while walking out. all of a sudden, it's just us, jaemin and karina, jeno and haechan and jisung and his pair chenle.

jisung moved to us and chenle did a great job in pushing us but giselle did greater job. she was able to withstand them and she pushed chenle into the water.

❝i'm scared of you.❞ haechan giggled and pointed giselle.

❝i'm gonna destroy you.❞ giselle said jokingly. i look at jeno and found him looking at me too. we're about to charge forward.

❝hahaha! no, stop.❞ haechan giggled. too bad i'm so focused on beating jeno in this game.

❝uh, guys we're still here?❞ jaemin charged forward at us. in a second, haechan falls to the water making me remove my hands off of giselle.

i got scared when he almost hit the edge of the pool that i just forgot i was with giselle and i had her in my arms.

❝shit.❞

❝i'm okay, i'm okay.❞ haechan is still giggling. ❝too bad we lost.❞

❝you almost hit the—❞

❝he's good.❞ jeno pulled him away.

i feel the anger bursting in me. i'm not so sure about it.

❝jaemin and karina won!❞ they said and i'm cool about it.

what's not cool is how jeno got a hold of haechan before i could.

❝the next game is... searching for pingpong balls. so there are multiple balls over there in the pool and the first one to get the same three colors will have win the game!❞

❝i'll join!❞ haechan said. with that, i joined the game too though i'm not interested in winning anything.

giselle just sat there after the othergame and shared a conversation with her girls.

❝the game starts now!❞

i saw haechan dived deep almost immediately. the others were also competitive because i heard this round is for a shopping spree.

i picked up a yellow ball that i saw. when i reached the surface, i found haechan searching for more. i gave him the ball i had under waters.

❝h-huh?❞

❝have it.❞ i spoke sternly. then i dived for more, searching for the same colored balls.

jeno has it.
