Last Night, Clem's Dream POV

I am sitting on the edge of the train, swinging my feet back and forth. As I look down, I see my younger self and hear a familiar voice saying "Hey Sweetpea."

"Lee?" I turn my head and see Lee sitting next to me.

"Why the train? You always pick the train." Lee chuckles.

I tilt my head. "I'm not sure. Maybe because this is where it all started. Where you taught me to shoot and to cut my hair. To be ready for what was coming."

Lee smiles. "You were a quick study. So what's on your mind this time?"

I sigh. "We're in the middle of a war, Lee. I have a lot of people counting on me. We have a ton of help, but I don't know if it's going to be enough."

"Well, what are you going up against?" Lee asks.

"The worst people imaginable. Cannibals, Rapists, Killers." I say.

Lee grimaces. "Sounds like a nightmare. Well, even more of a nightmare compared to what is happening. Something tells me you will get through this. I mean, you have dependable people. You have a lot more than you realize."

I nod. "I know, but there's just this feeling that it isn't enough."

"I know that feeling," Lee says. "I felt that the entire time I was protecting you and the others. You just have to push through it."

I turn away from Lee and continue looking at the forest as the train keeps going.

"Anything else?" He asks.

"It's a big war. There is another group involved. They like to take children and use them as soldiers." I say.

"Sounds like a big mess," Lee says. "Just stay calm. Remember when we had to walk through all those walkers? We had to stay calm. Remember what you are fighting for. Use that as motivation to keep going even if it means risking your life." Lee stands up and walks away to the other side. "I'm not worried about this. I believe in what you can do. You're a leader for a reason. You've done things others haven't. You are a lot tougher than everyone else including me."

I stand up and walk over to Lee. "I'm scared, Lee."

"That's normal. You've been scared before. During the siege at Richmond, you were scared. At the McCaroll Ranch, you were scared. You were scared not that long ago when those walkers flooded your home. What happened to that being scared then? It disappeared."

"I-I know but this is a lot bigger than that." I say.

"They are all pretty similar situations. In each one, you are fighting for something. Whether it's people or a place to call home. Hell, it'd be weird if you weren't scared. Don't you think Y/N is scared?" Lee says. "How is he by the way?"

A smile creeps on my face. "He's amazing."

Lee turns to me, smiling. "That's good to hear. Things like that are what give you hope in this world nowadays. You aren't going to find good people everywhere you go, but when you do you want to be close to them. In this case, you're pretty close to Y/N. How's the kid?"
