Ch.5 The Name Wall

(Y/n's pov)

The same day I found out my name I had to start my first job which was slicers. So after I got done eating breakfast I went over to Winston and I said
"I guess this is my first job"
"It sure is girl." He Smiles slightly. I get nervous What if I don't like this job? What if I mess something up? What if I forget what I'm doing? What if I hurt myself or someone else?
"Okay, you look worried."
"I kind of am."
"You will be fine. I think" I laugh nervously I try it at first but I can't do it and on top of that I almost died well not exactly I almost cut off my hand so Imma pass that job on. It's lunch and I'm so happy it is because I'm hungry and I do want to stop doing this darn job I like the entire time I was doing the job I was thinking about Newt and also happy that I got to see him at lunchtime.
I walk in to eat and greet some other glaeders. When I go up and grab my food I say
"Hey frypan"
"Hey, pretty lady. How was your first job."
"I hated it I did not do good at all."
Winston is behind me and says "Oh come on you were not that bad at it."
"Uhh yeah, I was I almost cut off my hand."
Frypan interrupts our bickering and says "She did what now?"
"It's a long story," I say and say bye to Frypan and went to find Newt. I found him and sat down next to him
"Hey Newt," I say happily.
"Hey, there's the other accent. So how was your first job." "It was horrible and I could.." Winton interrupt me
"Could not do it. I'm sad you did not like it."
"I did not like it because I almost cut off my bloody hand."
Newt interrupts "What in the bloody hell, how did you do that?"
"I don't know. I do know I was thinking and that I don't want to go back."
Winston looks at me sadly "Ok now sad." He says to me
"You'll be fine," I say to Winston smiling

After lunch, I had to take a shower cuz mine was not built yet and I had a specific amount of time to so all the boys could take their showers. When I get out of the shower and get dressed all the other boys get back to work until dinner. So I went back to Newt's room and see him laying down on the bed fully awake talking to himself. So I walk in and he stops talking.
"Hey Newt"
"Hey princess, what are you doing here?"
"I came to take a nap but I can go if you want me to."
"Your ok just don't mind me I'm just laying here, so you can lay down and take a nap beside me it is a pretty big bed so I'll be happy to share." He smiles
"Ok" I lay down and fall asleep for about 2 hours and then wake up to a Newt saying
"Y/n it's time for supper."
"How long have I been asleep," I ask still tired from the nap.
"About 2 hours"
"Bloody hell, I was tired how do you all stay off doing work all day like this?"
"You'll get used to it, but come on time to go."

I get my food and sit next to Newt
"Princess, are you ready for tomorrow?"
"No"
"Why not princess?"
"To tired"
Everyone at the table laughs a little bit
Minho says "You'll be fine you can get used to it."
"I know that but how."
"Doing it over and over again same time every day for 3 years and least so yeah you can get used to it," Minho says with a grin

After dinner, all the boys got their showers so I had some time to myself and I sit on Newt's bed talking to myself about Newt. I hear all the boy's voices again and I say fast I like you Newt then I stop talking. Newt walks in and says
"Hey princess" I blush
"Hey Newt"
"so what were you doing while everyone was in the shower."
"I was just sitting here talking to myself."
"What were you saying."
"I don't know"
"Princess don't lie to me."
"How do you know if I'm lying to you or not?"
"I can just tell."
"Ok, but I'm not telling you."
"I'll figure it out."
"Hush you don't know that but I'm exhausted can we go to sleep?"
"Ok." He hugs me and won't let go of me.

(Newts pov)

Ok so y/n is asleep it's now my turn to think. I wonder what she has been thinking about a lot recently because she's been thinking about it a lot. And I wonder when she's going to tell me.

I do know one thing and that one thing is that I like her. And I wonder if she likes me. I wonder if she does like me actually because she's been acting weird around me unlike everybody else I mean I do know she is new here and she hasn't talked to everybody else and I was the one to go down in the Box to get her.

What if she does like me what if I were to figure it out and if she doesn't know I figured it out and she also doesn't know that I like her? Speaking of that earlier when I was talking to Gally he said I was acting weird when she's around me and I go back to completely normal whenever she's not around me. So I wonder if she does like me because if she does like me and I'm not telling her she's not going to know which would be a good thing until she finds out and I kind of want her to find out if I like her or not because that would be a good chance for me to find out what she's been thinking about. I fall asleep after a little bit and I sleep like a baby when I'm holding her in my arms for a long period. I fall into a deep sleep.

(Y/n's pov)

I wake up to Newt saying I forgot to show you something.
I get out of bed and follow him. Grabbing his shirt just a little bit like a toddler still following. I'm tired still.
We stop I look up at a wall with names on it Newt says
"This is my favorite place it has all the names of all the people who is here and was with us here." "Wow, what happened to the scratched-out names?" I asked curiously
"Like I said and those who were with us, but it's time for you to put your name on it." Newt hands me a knife and a hammer to chisel my name into the wall.
It took me 30 minutes to chisel my name in the wall and Newt was there the entire time talking to me.
I back up from the wall to see my name there and I feel happy to be a full glaeder now that my name is on the wall.
