Once we got to my dad's house I was in my car and pulled in beside where he parked.

"So, I was just going to make some Mac and cheese for dinner..." Tig said, and I groaned.

"How about while I'm here, I do all the cooking." I said as we walked into the house.

"I think that's a good bet." Tig said and we laughed, and I walked back to put my bag in the bedroom I stayed in last time. I sighed when I opened the door knowing the last time, I was in this bed I was with Jax.

I didn't even know where Jax and I even were, and I knew it would take time to figure out. I set my bag on the bed and then walked towards the kitchen. I heard Tig on the phone as I approached.

"Yeah, we left the house, and we are home now." Tig said and I knew whoever was on the other side of the phone was talking. "I don't know what happened Gem, did Jax say anything?" I then heard my father sigh. "Well, I guess we just let them work it out. Can't always make them do what we want." I smiled at this. "Bye."

I walked into the kitchen once he hung up.

"Gemma calling to let Jax know I was out of the house?" I asked and Tig sighed.

"That and trying to figure out what happened. We know you two argued outside and then he came in the office. He left still angry and you stayed in there the rest of the day."

"Yeah, I don't need a play by play. I was there." I said getting some ingredients from his pantry.

"So, what happened?" Tig asked and I turned to look at him and then chose to ignore him. "Come on Juju, talk to me..."

"I can't because you will want to then murder him. Just know I wanted some aspect of my old life back and Jax isn't willing to budge. I'm not used to this life dad no matter how much I'm at the shop or not, I just want to go visit my friend I had my entire life or do things on my own. I mean this all started today but I asked if I could borrow a car when I was at the shop today." I said and Tig sighed.

"You know our life isn't normal Jules -..."

"BUT MINE WAS!" I yelled and then realized the tone I used was uncalled for and I sighed. "Sorry..."

Tig just shook his head slightly and walked over to where I was standing getting something ready to cook.

"Hey, listen, you do deserve the right to have a life outside of this and I won't keep you from that. I may send someone with you, but we just want you safe. The way things are right now -..."

"The way things are?! What does that even mean? No one will tell me anything and you all keep putting it off." I replied.

"We have something to check on first before we can do anything about it, just trust me okay?" Tig asked and I sighed but nodded. "Why don't you take a few days off from the shop, give you and Jax some space..."

"Yeah, I think I will. I can call Alice and we can do lunch or something." I said and Tig nodded and smiled. "Okay well I am going to work on making us some dinner." I said, Tig smiled and walked out of the kitchen, and I sighed knowing if I was home with Jax right now I would be cooking. What upset me more was the fact that I had a feeling knowing he wasn't home, and he was probably with someone at the clubhouse. The thought of this made my eyes fill with tears and my stomach turn.

I quickly cook my dad and I some dinner. As we ate, he sighed and looked at me.

"So, can I ask a question?" Tig asked.

"Sure."

"Besides dating Jax and what your mother told me in letters...did you ever date a guy she didn't know about?" Tig asked and I laughed but nodded.

"Jules!" He said as we laughed.

"Mom wouldn't have approved of this guy since he was an ass to me for a long time but then I ended up having to tutor him so he could graduate on time since he had some bug sport scholarship for baseball. Once we got to know each other we dated for a few months." I explained.

"What happened with him?"

"He went to college out of state, I stayed here. We tried to stay in touch, but it just didn't work out." I said and Tig half nodded.

"Now can I as about this guy your mom dated near the end?" Tig asked and I sighed.

"Jealous?" I smirked and Tig just shook his head.

"Just wondering if she was happy."

"She would have been happier with you."

"How do you know?"

"She never talked about you much to me and never mentioned you much anywhere but near the end she talked about you and how much she loved you. How hard it was sometimes for her to look at me sometimes with how much I looked like you. She said you were the best time of her life, and she was so lucky to have met you and that you both created me. She never gave me a name or never told me anything else. That was he deathbed confession to me. Just how she felt about you. I think it was something she always wanted to say to you but never had a chance and I was the next best thing." I explained and Tig hung his head. I placed my hand over his on the table.

"I don't blame you for anything, just missed you sometimes." I said and Tug just half nodded.

"Well, I never forgot about you or your mother. I was always around whether you both knew it or not. I saw you graduate from elementary school and high school. I saw everything Jules. I just couldn't be in your life as a constant." Tig said and I nodded.

"I get that now, seeing the life, I get it." I said looking down at my plate.

"What are you thinking?"

"I'm wondering if I made the right decision to be in it myself..."

"Meaning?" Tig asked concerned.

"Meaning my life with Jax, is it what I want for my future?"
