Wednesday was another laid back day. I went around campus shooting some photos which Niall joined as he didn't have anything else to do so I could practice more with the editing app, which I ended up spending hours on trying to learn the ins and outs of it.
Thursday night came around quicker than I expected and before I knew it I was grabbing my jumper and heading out the door making my way to soccer training, camera bag hanging from my shoulder.
When I reached the pitch James was standing with a few of the players who were sitting down and putting their cleats on. There was no Louis, Liam or Oli insight which made me feel a bit nervous as they were the only players I really spoke to. I wouldn't count Stan and I's conversation for anything as it was mainly just him being an asshole, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he's actually an alright person, I'm just yet to see his politeness aimed towards me.
"Harry, good to see you." James greets as I get closer to him, everyone's eyes snapping up to look at me.
"Hey James, good to see you too." I answer, stopping when I reach him and stand next to him, hoping that Louis or someone will show up soon so I don't feel so out of place.
"We're just waiting on the rest of the team and then we'll get started." James announced to no one in particular but received a chorus of hums in response anyway.
About two minutes later the rest of the team was walking over, cleats already on and I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding in.
"Glad to see you joining us." James said in a teasing tone.
"Sorry Coach, problem in the change rooms we had to sort out, just looking after our team mates." Louis said, walking over to James to inform him of the hold up.
"Hello Harold." I hear him say while I'm flicking through my camera settings. I look up from my camera, but not too far up for our eyes to meet.
"Hey Lou." I smile, dimples on display. I feel myself instantly relax in his presence. I wanted so badly to ask him what happened in the change rooms but I didn't want to pry and it wasn't my place to ask, if he wanted to tell me he would.
"Ok, let's get started. Louis, take the team for the usual warm up please and when you're finished meet me in the center circle." James instructs them. They all jump up and Louis leads them away for their warm up.
I follow them over so I can try and shoot some photos. I snap a few of them joking and laughing with each other because I think those photos are just as important as the serious ones.
I hang behind the team when I follow them to the center circle, not wanting to get in the way of anyone or their practice. I hide at the back while James explains the drills.
Soon they split off into groups depending on what position they play and start their drills. I walk around with my camera snapping a few photos here and there while also trying to stay out of the way.
Louis was with Mason taking shots with Liam and Sam switching out of goals so I decided to make my way over to them as I hadn't been to their group yet.
I stood there in a daze just staring at Louis, not taking any photos but just admiring the way he moved with the ball and kicked it into the back of the net.
"You going to keep staring or you going to take some photos." Louis teases as he walks the short distance to stand in front of me.
"Uh. Um." I stutter shuffling on my feet, I felt caught out and didn't really know what to say or how to answer.
"I mean, I don't mind you staring, it's flattering. But I don't think the others would be too happy if I keep getting distracted." He winked at me, walking off to join back in with the drill and leaving me there wide eyed.
