Michael woke up to his sister, Elizabeth shaking him awake.

"Michael!" She said, looking sad, "Michael wake up!"

"Yup, yup. I'm awake," Michael replied whilst rubbing his eyes and yawning, "I'm awake. What?"

"Susie's dead," she said as though she was only just accepting it as fact, "she- she was murdered last night at work,"

Michael couldn't believe what he was hearing, Susie was Elizabeth's best friend. They had been friends since Liz helped her beat Fruity Maze at the pizzeria back in '85. Now hearing she was dead, after all these years, it was like a bullet to the chest.

"Who killed her?" Michael asked quietly.

"We don't know yet, sadly," Elizabeth answered solemnly, "The police are still investigating,"

Their brother, Evan, entered the room, tears streaming across his face, and sat down on the bed with the other two. Elizabeth and Evan both hugged Michael.

He had basically become a father to them the past few years as William was always busy with work. He was always so distant, but recently, Freddy's has been expanding internationally so he was even busier. Right now he was in Sydney opening a new pizzeria.

"Do you guys want a day off today?" Michael asked them, "The school will understand,"

Evan shook his head, rubbing away his tears.

"No, no... I-I'm fine," Elizabeth told Michael, getting up from the bed, "I'll... go get ready,"

The two youngest Afton children left the room, leaving Michael alone on the bed. He still couldn't believe it, Susie, dead. He got up off the bed and left the bedroom to drive the other two to school.

As Michael took his siblings to school, the radio was talking about the last night's events.

"-girl named Susie was murdered at her first day on the job as security guard for Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria in Hurricane, Utah,"

"Yes, Jim, but this isn't the first large controversy surrounding Fazbear Entertainment,"

"Indeed, Tom. We all remember the tragic bite that occurred at Fredbear's Family Diner eight years ago,"

"I think it was the owner's son, am I correct?"

"Uh-huh, but at least he survi-"

Michael switched off the radio, why couldn't everyone forget about it? Why couldn't they all move on? Why couldn't he move on?

They arrived at school and Evan and Elizabeth left the car. Michael was going to say goodbye but decided against it, it wasn't the time. Elizabeth stood, staring at the building as Evan entered. Where usually there would be groups of people everywhere, chatting, laughing, and having fun, now it was practically empty, with only a few students dotted here and there. Suddenly, Cassidy and Fritz, Elizabeth's friends, burst out the front door and ran to her, both crying. The trio hugged and tears began to roll down from Elizabeth's eyes.

"We saw Evan and knew you would be here somewhere," Said Fritz, breaking off from the hug.

"Are you going okay?" Cassidy asked Elizabeth.

"I don't know," Liz replied, "It was just so unexpected,"

"Yeah, I get it," Cassidy told Elizabeth, also breaking out of the hug.

They all began to walk up the stairs and into the building, going past two kids who were staring at them. As they entered the doors, they saw Evan and his friend, Charlie, talking.

"It'll be okay," Charlie told Evan, comforting him.

"What do you mean? Susie is dead!" Evan shouted, "How will that be okay?"

"Calm down," Charlie said, "I get she was your friend bu-"

"NO!" Evan yelled, "You don't get it! She's dead!"

Evan stormed away as Charlie's boyfriend Gabriel walked up to her and kissed her on the cheek.

"He's just sad," He stated, "He needs some time alone,"

Suddenly, the school bell rang and everyone went to class. As Charlie and Gabriel walked to math class, their friend, Jeremy, joined them.

"Hey guys!" He said happily as they walked, "Why are you guys so down?"

Charlie sighed.

"Jeremy," Gabriel told him, "Susie's dead,"

Jeremy looked confused, "Who's Susie?"

"Evan's sister's friend," Charlie informed him.

By this point they had made it to the math class and we're waiting outside.

"Oh," He said, raising his hands over his mouth, "Holy shit, how?"

"Murdered," Charlie informed him, "Last night,"

Jeremy was too stunned to speak and was just standing there, jaw dropped. Evan walked up to the class entrance, ignoring the other three. That was when the math teacher arrived, getting all the students to enter the class. Everyone was talking and gossiping to each other about the previous night. The trio sat down together and Evan went at the other side of the class.

"Ok students, settle down, settle down, uh, well," The teacher told the class, clearly uncomfortable with the situation, "So, I think you guys all know this already, but, um, a year eleven girl at this school died last night,"

Around half the class let out shocked gasps.

"Apparently not all of you knew, but, um, you know now," The teacher continued, "So, while we were meant to be doing trigonometry today, uh, instead we have to go to a school assembly,"

All the students got up to go, some happy about not having to do math, others still shocked about the news of the death. Charlie stood up to leave, followed by Gabriel and Jeremy.

"I still can't believe it," Jeremy said as they exited the class, "Murdered, just like that. I mean, why would someone do that?"

"I don't know Jeremy," Charlie replied, watching Evan walk alone with his head down, "I don't know,"
