AUTHOR'S NOTE: All the kids' ages are older now after realising 14 is a bit young to be chased by or be a serial killer so : Evan, Charlie, Jeremy, and Gabe are 15-16/grade 10 and Fritz, Susie (dead), Cassidy, and Liz are 17-18/grade 12 Mike is still 22 tho. This probably won't change the story in any way.
The police officer rushed out the room.
"Stay here!" He shouted to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth picked up her phone and lifted it to her ear.
"Elizabeth, where are you?" it was Michael, "I heard about what happened and rushed to the school but you weren't there,"
"I'm at the police station," she replied, "officers took us in for questioning,"
"I'm headed there now," Michael told her before hanging up.
The police officer came back in and brought Elizabeth back to the back room. He got the other two officers to come in then began talking.
"Children, I have some news," he began as everyone crowded around, "The murderer who killed your friend, Susie, wasn't just after her,"
He dropped the image of Pirate Cove on the table.
"This person is who killed Susie, but they also attacked Fritz and tried to harm Elizabeth," the officer continued, "We are dealing with a serial killer here, so I have some rules,"
Jeremy groaned, clearly not realizing the severity of the situation.
"First, no leaving the house past 7:00 PM, it'll be too dangerous," he went on, "We will issue an official curfew, but for now you have to enforce it yourself,"
Everyone nodded.
"Second, if anything happens, call us," he told the group, "I know it seems obvious but you'd be surprised,"
They nodded some more.
"And finally, just keep yourself safe,"
At that moment, Michael came bursting through the door, followed by a secretary.
"I tried to hold him back but-" they told the police officer.
"Doesn't matter," he said, waving them away, "Are you the legal guardian?"
"Of Evan and Elizabeth, yes," Mike told the man.
"Great, take them home," he told Michael, "And while your at it, return these kids to their parents,"
The officer was clearly busy and so he didn't care to take the group out, they could find their own way out. The group left the room and went back out to the crowded front room. Once they exited the police station, all of their parents came rushing over and grabbed their children.
"Oh my gosh are you alright?"
"What happened?"
"I can't believe it,"
After all the parents had sufficiently decided their kids were safe, everyone said their goodbyes and started to slowly leave.
That was, until, Gabriel spoke up.
Charlie had been staying with Gabe the past month or two while Henry was at Australia with Will.
Gabriel and her were about to get into Gabe's mum's minivan when he spoke.
"What if we all stayed together tonight?" He proposed to the group, "Like a sleepover, only, to keep each other safe,"
Some of the parents looked concerned, but others clearly liked the idea.
"I mean, I have plenty of space at my place," Michael told them, "They could all stay there,"
Technically, it wasn't Michael's place, it was William's, however, since he was away it was practically Mike's. And, well, he wasn't wrong, there was quite a bit of extra space, it was a very large house.
"I don't see any major problem with it,"
"It seems like a good idea,"
"Why not, it would be safer,"
"Well that settles it," Michael stated, "You all know were the house is, we can meet there,"
The kids gathered together while Michael ironed some things out with the other parents.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Cassidy asked, "We don't even know who this 'Ghost Face' is,"
She looked at Gabe.
"It's a great idea, trust me," he replied, a naïve grin across his face.
Charlie was unsure about this, Cassidy was right, they didn't know who the killer was, but if Gabe was so sure about it...
Gabriel's mother walked up to the pair.
"Alright you two, let's get going," she told them, leading them to the car.
They hopped into the van and left off to Mike's house.
It was a quiet ride at first until Gabriel looked toward Charlie and started talking to her, breaking the silence.
"Hey, I saw some tension between you and Evan earlier, is everything alright?" he asked her.
"Yeah it's- it's fine," Charlie told him, "Evan was just being a bit annoying,"
"Really, it seemed like more than that,"
"Well, yeah, I guess it was," Charlie admitted, "He was just- he was acting mean and like the world revolved around him; like no one else mattered,"
"It's okay," Gabe comforted her, "You know whatever happens, I'll be here for you,"
The two shared a loving embrace as a tear dripped from Charlie's eye.
Gabriel's mum turned from the front seat.
"Okay you two lovebirds, you've only been together, what, a month?," she told the pair in the back seat, "Anyway, we're here,"
Gabe and Charlie started unbuckling their seatbelts when Gabe's mum spoke again.
"Just stay safe, you two, goodbye,"
"Bye mum,"
"Bye Gabe's mum,"
The pair slipped out of the car and onto Mike's front yard.
Jeremy, Evan, and Elizabeth were there already, Cassidy was still coming.
The house was a small, two story building that looked like it would have belonged to an old lady. It was on a slight hill and surrounded by fields and forests on all sides other than a single thin road leading up to it.
By looking at it you wouldn't think it belonged to a successful entrepreneur like William Afton.
"Gabe, are you sure this is a good idea?" Charlie was uncertain considering the days events.
"It'll be fine,"
