[At Hexside, Luz and Y/n find Gus in the hallway, upset because he messed up after trying to help Willow with a pixie problem; he used illusions to try and distract them, but accidentally angered the pixies, causing them to attack Willow instead. Because of this, Gus lost his confidence regarding his ability to perform illusion magic and feels he should try something different. Luz and Y/n assure him that he will feel better tomorrow.]
[Cut to later in the evening in The Owl House. Y/n and Luz are in the Kitchen. Luz is going through some books while Y/n rests his head on his hand.]
Luz: Hey Y/n! I was thinking maybe we could search the library for some clues.
Y/n: On the human that lived here in the Boiling Isles?
Luz: Yeah! And maybe Amity could help us too... [She gets a bit "soft" when she talked about having Amity help so Y/n had an idea, a brilliant idea.]
Y/n: I'd love to go but I got training plans, and plus King and I have some demon studies to catch up on so y'know...
Luz: [Seems a little surprised.] Oh, You sure? This could help us find out how to get back home...
Y/n: Yes, it's ok. I'll contribute more later, alright? I still have stuff to figure out...
Luz: O-Ok. I understand, I guess I'll just go by myself and ask Amity.
Y/n: Mhm, yeah. [He smirked.]
Luz: [She looks at him suspiciously.] What's with that look?
Y/n: What look?
Luz: What you're doing right now.
Y/n: I dunno what you're talking about. [He shrugs his shoulders as he gets up from his seat and leaves] Oh, and don't do anything stupid tomorrow alright?
Luz: You're stupid. >:3
Y/n: You're best friends with this stupid guy whether you like it or not .
[Both laugh, but Y/n looks a bit off as he tries to laugh with Luz.]
Luz: What's wrong?
Y/n: Huh? Why ask that all of a sudden?
Luz: Come on. [Pokes Y/n's side.] I know you. You're hiding something, aren't you?
Y/n: N-No...
Luz: Spill it.
Y/n: [Sighs.] Fine... I guess I'm just... I'm still a bit traumatized from killing all those demons. I've never killed before and... That has a lot of weight... How can I trust myself into not being a monster...
[Luz looks concerned for him as she side hugs him, trying to give comfort.]
Luz: Y/n L/n, you are not a monster. I understand where you're coming from. Really, I do. I'd be freaked out as you are. But hey, we're here now. [She holds his hand that is covered in scars.] These scars are like... Art of your strength. You must be proud of that, right?
Y/n: I guess...
Luz: Good. Look Y/n, you've saved my behind so many times. This time, we're here to save you. You got that?
[Y/n hugs Luz.]
Y/n: Thanks, Luz.
Luz: Remember, we're always here.
[The two hug it out.]
[Cut to presumably tomorrow. Gus laying on the floor of his bedroom. He groans. The following events ensue in this video since it seems easier.]
[Cut to the Bonesborough Library. Luz is at a desk with a crystal ball. Luz types "human" into the crystal ball's search bar. She finds an article about Eda using paddle-balls that were mistaken for weapons.]
