Chapter 10

Eventually it becomes too much for Wilbur, the guilt of thinking he's accidentally killed his little brother.

That's why one day Techno get's a call from Wilbur, and instead of the usual 'Please help me find Tommy' he get's an 'I'm sorry, goodbye' 

Techno sighed, collapsing onto the sofa, too tired to move. Phil is sat on the sofa next too him, looking just as shattered. Tommy's condition hasn't improved at all, in fact it seemed to be getting worse, but still the kid refused to go to a doctor. Phil said he remembered the kid hinting at having some past trauma related to them, but he refused to elaborate and had once had a panic attack over the idea. Techno didn't want that to happen again, so he had let it be, but soon they would have to act no matter how scared Tommy might be. Just as he is about to pull out his book and read his phone starts to ring. 

 "Hey Wil," Techno said, as he answered the call, "...Any luck?" He hated lying to Wil, and a wave of guilt hit him immediately after he said it, but he couldn't betray Tommy like that... 

The wave of guilt only got worse when Wilbur replied, "Tech..." He didn't sounded completely out of it, "Tech... m' sorry Tech," He slurred, and Techno could hear the exhaustion in his voice, as well as the clear signs of a lot of alcohol. Immediately he was concerned, sitting bolt upright. 

 "Wil, are you ok?" He asked, urgency tinging his voice. 

"Mate, you good?" Phil asked again when Wilbur didn't respond straight away. "

M' sorry, I shouldn't have... not h've done it..." Wilbur groaned. 

"Wilbur where are you?" Techno asked, standing up and walking towards the door, his heart thumping. 

 "'m sorry. I love you both," 

"Wilbur mate tell us where you are, we'll come help you," Phil said urgently, looking at Techno with pleading eyes to just do something, anything. 

To tell Wil about Tommy. 

 Techno felt torn in two, should he? 

He hesitated, and that was enough time for Wilbur to say, 

"Bye, Tech," 

"Wilbur no Wait!" Techno almost shouted, regret hitting him as fear of loosing his brother kicked in. 

Wilbur's guilt had overwhelmed him, and he hangs up, before he hears what Techno was about to say. His phone starts buzzing with calls from Phil and Techno, but he ignores them, instead sighing as he looked out over the empty, silent road, that ran below the bridge. 

Though his mind was clouded with alcohol, his thoughts on the matter were surprisingly clear. Tommy was dead. He had to be. And it was his fault.

So he deserved to die too. 

"I'm sorry Tommy, my brother," 

Wilbur said. 

Wilbur smiled. 

And Wilbur jumped.
