The four villains may not share their deepest secrets, but Wilbur knows this part of town is important to Tommy. It's obvious by how careful he is whenever they get into it with the heroes in this area. Wilbur thinks it holds sentimental value, and lets it get destroyed.

Wilbur taunts 404 as he runs in the direction of that area of town. His idea to let it get destroyed is genius. It wouldn't HARM Tommy, just hurt him like he hurt Wilbur when he let Dream get away. As the fight continues Tommy is desperately trying to minimise the damage, but Wilbur, unlike usual, does nothing to stop the destruction done to the surroundings. Soon the heroes are defeated, but the building has fallen and is lying in piles of rubble.

Wilbur thought it wouldn't matter that much, but when the fight is over Tommy can't help but drop to his knees. He has nothing. He barely had anything before, but now he has NOTHING. All because of a stupid, petty fight.

Wilbur of course is quick to gloat, its not unfamiliar for them to constantly jab at each other. But now, every word Wilbur spits feels like a knife to Tommy's chest, knives that fall on numb, ringing, ears.

"Wilbur, knock it off,"

That's Techno's voice, breaking through Tommy's stunned haze. From the corner of his eyes, he can see Wilbur getting swatted away by Phil.

"What? It's not like he's never seen a fallen building before. We do this to other people all the time," Wilbur sneers, shooting a glare at Tommy, still unaware of what he has done.

"Enough," Phil murmurs lowly, "Clearly this is different," Quiet enough that Tommy can't hear.

"Oh come on, he's being pathetic and-" Wilbur begins.

Tommy whirls around, unable to take the tidal waves of emotion crashing through him. His eyes are stinging, red, teary. Now he has nothing, everything is gone. His once hard yet stable life has been upturned in an instant because of some pathetic fight, and now all he can feel towards Wilbur - a man who had once been his best friend, his brother - is overwhelming hatred. He stands up and takes two steps towards him, trembling with fear, hatred, overwhelming rage, but also bitterness at the family he has just lost.

"Fuck you," He breathes at Wilbur, his voice quivering, as a tear rolls down his cheek, "Just- fuck you,"

He storms off, his frail and fragile looking figure visibly shaking as he strides away.

Tommy ignores Phil's call of his name, or Techno's low "Kid, wait-"

Or even the stunned expression on Wilbur's face when he realises this is the first time they've ever seen Tommy cry.

There's a hard to swallow lump in Wilbur's throat that he disguises as a scoff. He'll apologise later, it's fine. It's not like they haven't had worse fights.
