The Accident, The Recovery, and a Discovery

Lawyer, Realization, and Hair

The next morning the band was finishing picking up around the house. Andy whined "Ugh I'm so tired. What time is she supposed to be here?" Jinxx said "She'll be here in about an hour. Quit bitching and drink some coffee." An hour later the doorbell rang. Jinxx said "Oh must be her." He answered the door and she said "Hello, I'm Rebecca Hamilton." Jinxx said "Hi I'm Jeremy, please come in" After everyone introduced themselves they discussed the case and what's going to happen. Rebecca said "I can confidently say we have a solid case. Especially considering how close to death Ashley came." 

The band was taken aback. Jake said "Wait how close was he?" Rebecca asked "Did you not read his medical forms?" The band shook their heads no. Rebecca said "Oh, according to these files, if he would've lost one more pint of blood Ashley wouldn't have survived the accident." The band all gasped.  Ashley said "Oh eye god... (Oh my god)"

Ashley's mind went blank. It's as if the whole world went silent. He couldn't believe it. Ashley knew he was close to death but he didn't realize he was THAT close. He was in complete shock. He thought [Oh my god. I really am lucky to be alive. I was literally on the brink of death. I actually almost died.] All of a sudden he was pulled out of his thoughts. CC said "Hello? Earth to Ashley?!" 

Ashley blinked and said "Huh?" Andy said "Rebecca said we need pictures of your hair and your head scar as more evidence." Jake said "Looks like we're gonna have to finally shave where his head scar is at to see it since his hair has grown out." Rebecca said "Oh no rush. I'll just need it by tomorrow." Andy said "Oh its ok. We can do it now."

Andy wheeled Ashley into the bathroom and Jake grabbed his hair clippers and broom and dust pan. Andy combed and parted Ashley's hair and asked "Are you ready Ashley?" Ashley nodded and said "Yep." Andy combed and parted Ashley's hair and gently went over Ashley's scar trying desperately not to hurt him. 

Ashley winced a little but tried to hide it. Luckily nobody noticed. Andy finished and said "All finished! What do you think, Ash?" not realizing Ashley can't see the mirror from his chair. Jake said "Uh hold on dude." and got his phone out and turned on the front facing camera held it out so Ashley could see. Ashley smiled and said "Ow Addy, ook gate! Tank oh! (Wow Andy, looks great! Thank you!)" Andy happily said "You're welcome!"

After the lawyer got the pictures she needed and everyone said their goodbyes. After she left Jake went to the bathroom and said "Ok my turn to shave the side of my head!" Andy said "I can do it! I did a good job on Ashley's." Jake said "Uh, no thanks I can do it myself." Jake went to the bathroom and shaved the side of his head. When he came out he asked "How does it look? Is it even?" CC said "Yup!" Jinxx said "Looks good!" Andy said "Ok my turn! I'm gonna give my hair a trim. Get the dead ends off. Ashley wanna join me?" Ashley said "Ture eye ot? (Sure why not?") Andy combed and parted his hair and brushed it out. 

After he shaved off the side he said "Ok now to get rid of these dead ends." Andy examined his hair determining how much of it was dead and tied it off with a hair tie. He tied it pretty high up. Ashley asked shocked "Ut ah you doig?! (What are you doing?!)" Andy said "Cutting the dead ends off." Ashley asked "Tat uch?! (That much?!)" Andy said "Ya! It's all dead."

After he finished he swept the floor and rolled Ashley back out. CC said "Woe! Andy! Did you cut your hair short enough?" Andy said "I had to cut the dead ends off!" Jake said "Was that much of it actually dead?" Andy said "Ya! My ends were so dry it was like hay. Could probably feed a horse with how dry it was. I just didn't realize it was that much of it that was dead."

 Jinxx went to use the bathroom while Jake and CC put Ashley back in his bed and to do some leg exercises before lunch. All of a sudden they all heard something fall in the bathroom and Jinxx yell "OWW!!! DAMN IT!!!" Jinxx came out of the bathroom holding the broom and dust pan with a pissed off look on his face. CC asked "What happened?!" Jinxx angrily said "I tripped over the fucking broom!"
