"Sharper moves! Go again!" Lee Know called out.
They sigh and groan before getting into their starting positions. LK-hyung steps back over to the speaker with Minho's phone and restarts the song.
This time their moves are sharper, which is what we want, but they're missing other key components.
I'm no idiot, they will never be as good as we are now in such little time. They have, what, a couple days of idol life under their belt. We have had five years of idol life. A very big difference. We're not prodigies, no matter what others say. We're just trained and experienced in what we do. We spend a hell of a lot of a time practicing band even then we worry if it's enough. I guess you could call us all workaholics (though no one will be on hyung's level).
As such, they're also being taught something that is kind of screwing with what they already know. Being told to be conscious on certain parts means that you aren't really thinking of the other things.
However, I want to push them. We want to push them. To... I don't know. Be better than us? To learn from our mistakes? To not have scandals like the ones we've had? All of it, probably.
The song ends and they stop, breathing heavily. "Better. Go take a five minute break." Lee Know calls. Everyone rushes to go get water except Hyunjin, who continues going slowly through the moves. "You too Hwang." He scolds.
"I'm fine. I'm not tired yet." He says, as sweat is ironically dripping off him.
"Don't care. Go take a break." He adds, "You need water if you want to continue. I won't ask again."
Finally he nods, stepping away from the center of the room and over to the corner where his water bottle is. Jeongin strikes up a conversation with him.
Lee Know turns back to us and beckons us over. We huddle. "Any suggestions? They need some work." He says.
"Tell them how much they suck?" Sam jokes.
"Umm, no. How about you tell them the things they need to work on?" Seungmin offers. "It's a little more positive, is it not?" He inquired as he winks at Sam.
"Give some individual constructive criticism." Yongbok suggests. "Some of them won't clash well if we mention some key things of each." He says, giving Sam and me a glance.
"Fair. I like Yongbokkie's idea!"
"That's because he's your favorite." Seungmin deadpans.
"What?! I thought I was your favorite!" I exclaim, faux hurt on my face.
"No comment." Is all hyung says in response before he claps his hands and garners the attention of the rest of the room. "We'll still be on break, but I'll take you guys one-by-one into the hallway to discuss what you can improve on for the future." He glances at Hyunjin. "You can do very, very light practice while you wait if you'd like."
Hyunjin grins victoriously while Han gives him a few unsavory glares, muttering likely colorful things under his breath. Hyunjin either doesn't notice or chooses to ignore him and starts going through the motions of the dance to the song in his head.
I grab to two closest people, Chris-hyung and Innie, and drag them over to corner opposite of the door. The rest of the rest of the group, minus DANCERACHA, follows us loudly.
I drop down pulling them with me, laying my head on Chris-hyung chest and squeeze myself in between the two. Chris pets my hair sweetly. While he starts a conversation with the group, I stare off into space. I'm still a little drowsy from sleeping earlier and speaking with a bunch of people, even if a majority of them are us in the past.
