For the videos, it's gonna be described, but if you wanted to watch the video and understand it better, I've linked it in at the top, above this.
———————————————"Show me videos."
Surprise filtered through the room. "Show you... videos?" Chris-hyung echoes.
"Yes. I want you to show me your speeches and performances." JYP demands, but thankfully not as condescending as earlier. Maybe he's learning, I think bitterly.
And, yeah, that would be perfectly fine, but... they don't know about Woojin and his... solo career. And this is not a good time to drop the bomb. I can tell our group—well, the ones who realised this revelation—recognizes that, if the uneasy looks we give each other is anything to go by. "Um- okay. I've noticed we can't seem to get anything from the future on your devices, so we'll just have to use my phone. I know it's small, but it-"
"Project it, Chan-ah." JYP commands, a fond fatherly voice peeking through. A smile peeking through the upturned corners of his mouth. It was refreshing to see JYP so much less uptight and more hyung-ish?
"Oh, yeah. I can do that too. Sky-ah, do you mind going and turning it on?"
"Yeah, yeah." He grumbles, walking over to the projector unit. "I just press the power button, right?"
"Mhm, it's usually set to AirPlay in the meeting rooms anyways." Chris-hyung confirms. The light turns a fitting sky blue (a teasing remark they always had when Sky's name was brought up), signaling the projector light is on, but there's no screen quite yet. Sky walks over to the light switch and flicks it off as well. The light from outside filters in, so he closes the blinds as well. Now, with the room darker, the projector screen gets a little blue coloring, luminating a rectangle that nearly takes up the whole screen.
Chris-hyung continues, "Okay, while that's warming up, any questions about our awards? Any one you want to see in particular?"
"Daesangs and bonsangs. And you mentioned your... fans have won awards?" JYP questions.
Okay, he quickly goes on YouTube, searching up videos STAY has so kindly put up. "Yeah... they jokingly voted themselves for worst and best K-POP fandoms, they won both and were so proud they got a hashtag trending. After that they won laziest and funniest fandoms too, also all fun and games." I laugh too, I remember they were so unserious and proud to win worst fandom, because a win is a win, in their books. It doesn't necessarily make sense how they won that until I found out that they were voting for themselves. Idiots. They learned well, I think fondly.
"...In-Interesting..." JYP stutters outs, "What daesangs have you won?"
"Umm... our first was Performance of the Year in 2021. The seco-"
"It took you that long to get a daesang? That's three years!"
"Yes, sir, it did. But if you'd let me finish, I think you'll be happier. In 2022, last year, we won a daesang for Album of the Year and this year, we won Best Performance again with Hanteo."
"Show me the speech for your first."
It's seems in the midst of all this conversation, the projector warmed up fully and ready for use.
"O-okay." He searches up the video on YouTube (STAY is amazing like that; uploading our stuff for the convenience of others) and clicks on one, it looks like the top search from where I'm sitting. Then he has Bok-ah recite the code for him to log in. 2739. It's funny because, while I'm pretty sure it was to help Yongbok take his mind off things (which is such a dad thing), Bok—I'd say intentionally, by the glint in his eyes—started speaking the numbers in English. I could see JYP's little eye twitch of anger. Two-Seven-Three-Nine.
