Backstory: His real name is Thomas Jones. Him and his sister Mia Jones grew up with abusive parents and everyday they would abuse them physically and mentally. His parents even locked Thomas in the basement filled with bat's inside cages and torment him. Despite all this, Mia and Thomas have a strong bond and care about each other.
One day when his parents locked Thomas in the basement and he would sit in the corner, afraid while looking at the bat's. When he fell asleep, he had a dream about a monster protecting him and since then he would always see that monster in his dreams.

However one day, things went too far and Mia along with Thomas made a plan to run away from home. However their parents found out and tried to kill them. Mia told Thomas to run away and in fear, Thomas ran away from the house, leaving Mia behind. However he wanted to come back and save his sister only for the house to be on fire and his parents along with sister were dead. Since then, Thomas always blamed himself for Mia's death.
For two years, Thomas lived in the streets, stealing other people's wallets to get some food for himself. One day, Steven Ambrose and his wife Laura Ambrose who are billionaires and own a corporation known as Hope corporation found Thomas and decided to adopt him. He even met their daughter, Chloe Jane Ambrose and Thomas decided to change his name to Alex Crowe Ambrose.
Alex and Chloe care for each other and have a strong bond. Everything was going well for them but everything changed one day.
A group of thugs broke into the manor and killed Steven and Laura, leaving Chloe and Alex heartbroken. Chloe blamed Alex for the death of their parents because he was hiding when the invasion happened.
Since then, Chloe along with her aunt left Gotham, leaving Alex and his uncle in Gotham.
Feeling with anger and rage. Alex decided to wage war against crime and his uncle would support him. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, in addition to mastering martial arts, detective techniques, and criminal psychology.
