Chapter Six: The Arrival

June 19 2016

Alex slowly opened his eyes as he heard voices along with police sirens in the warehouse. He slowly began getting up as he was holding his head until some officers began looking at him until Gordon walked towards the vigilante and helped him get up as he spoke to him.

Gordon: You alright?

Alex: Urgh. . . . I'm fine. . . What happened?

Gordon: When we arrived at the warehouse. We found you unconscious. We didn't find Barnes anywhere.

Alex: Captain Winters and her team are here and saved him. They said Barnes was being framed by someone.

Gordon: That's impossible. His fingerprints are all over the museum.

Alex was silent as he was holding his head until Gordon said something to him as the vigilante was listening to the commissioner.

Gordon: You should rest up. We'll talk more about this later.

Alex nodded as he grappled to the rooftop and immediately left the warehouse as he began making his way back to the manor and was thinking about everything that has happened.

Meanwhile back at the safehouse, Anne along with her team were there as they began talking to each other about what has happened.

Bucky: Who the hell was that?

Sam: Batman. A vigilante who has been protecting Gotham for the last ten years.

Pietro: Bucky, what are you doing in Gotham?

Bucky: I heard about all of you investigating the T&T case and wanted to help you. When I heard reports of the museum attack, I thought I can help you but I fell into a trap.

Natasha: Whoever this assailant was. They knew Bucky was in Gotham and needed to get his attention so they can frame him for the robbery and murder.

Anne: But the question is who? The answer could be T&T.

Sam: Maybe but right now we need to lay low. The entire city is on high alert.

Pietro: Your right about that. Hold on, I'm gonna get some food and water for us. Don't worry, I won't get caught.

Pietro immediately left the safehouse as the team noticed Wanda was silent as they began speaking to him.

Anne: Are you alright, Wanda?

No response was heard from her as they were worried about her and continued speaking to Wanda.

Bucky: Wanda, you can talk to us. Tell us what's the matter?

Natasha: We're here for you, Wanda. Tell us what happened?

Wanda sighed to herself as she began speaking to the team.

Wanda: When I was controlling Batman's mind. I saw his memories. . . . . I know who he is.

Sam: Wait, who is it?

Wanda: It's Alex Ambrose.

The team were shocked by what Wanda said as they continued speaking to her.

Anne: Wait, Alex Ambrose? CEO of Hope corporation?

Sam: I can't believe it. He's Batman!?

Natasha: What else did you see?

Wanda was sad as she began explaining them about Alex's past along with what he has endured and why he became Batman. The team were shocked by what they heard as they felt bad for him.

Bucky: That poor kid. He lost his entire childhood because of these monsters.

Sam: He didn't deserve all of this.
