Forgive me for the dumbed-down child adoption process. I am not going to write through all the legal matters. Deal with it cocksuckers.

I woke up being shaken by smaller hands.

"What?" I mumbled.

"Get up. We're gonna be late." George said.

I opened my eyes and sat up. He was already dressed. I climbed out of bed and went to my backpack. I got out a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I quickly changed, and George dragged me out of the hotel room. He was limping the smallest bit from last night. We left the hotel and he found Mary's car. We both got in, and she started driving.

"Good morning, boys." She greeted.

"Morning." We said at the same time, causing us to laugh.

She smiled.

"So George, they're gonna give you paperwork at the courthouse. It should be pretty simple. You just answer some questions and then sign a couple of papers. He already has a passport and such, so you won't have to worry about that." She explained.

"Thank god. In the nicest way possible, I'd like to go home as fast as I can." George said.

"Same." I added.

"Have you heard from Sap and Karl? Did they get the room set up?" He asked.

I nodded.

"They won't send pictures, though. It's a surprise, apparently." I told him.

He rolled his eyes.

"That's terrifying considering it's THEM." He stated.

I nodded in agreement. We arrived at the court house. We all got out of the car and headed inside.

We got inside the court house. Dream and I looked around. It was fairly nice. I then spotted Callahan sitting on a bench next to a police officer.

"Cal!" I yelled.

His head shot up, and he smiled. He got off the bench and ran over to me. I scooped him up in my arms and hugged him tightly.

"I missed you so much." I mumbled.

"Missed you too, Georgie." He whispered in my ear.

He rarely ever talks to other people. Only if it's completely necessary. He'll have full-blown conversations with me, though.

"Are they gonna take me away from you?" He whispered.

"No, Cal. You're coming home with me. I'll make sure of it." I told him.

The officer walked over and offered a hand. I shifted Callahan to my left arm and shook his head.

"I'm Officer Reynolds. We spoke on the phone a couple of times." He said.

I nodded.

"Thank you for taking care of him." I stated.

He gave me a smile and nod.

"He's a good kid. He's really quiet, but he's a good kid." He told me.

"He's never talked much to other people. Except for me. Right Cal?" I asked the small boy.

Callahan nodded.

"Who's here with you today? Husband?" He asked.

I looked over at Dream. We laughed a bit.

"No, my boyfriend. I'm living with him right now." I said.

"Alright. Is anybody else living in the house?" Reynolds asked.
