"Wh-what the heck is going on?", the coach's eyes widened in disbelief. (Y/n) had already served 5 times and yet Daichi and Asahi still had a hard time getting the ball back up. Moreover, her spike was sharp and she could easily dodge blockers by shifting the angles of her spike. Asahi could barely score a point from her if it weren't for him targetting Tsukishima's hand instead despite the other middle blocker being shorter than Tsukishima.
The match ended with (Y/n)'s team in the lead. "Nice receive, (Y/n)!", Sugawara high-fived her. She giggled, "Thank you so much for the nice toss senpai". "Wooohhh!!!", both Hinata and Nishinoya were in awe at the fact that the newcomer defeated their team, it seemed like a one-man team in their eyes. "Hey (Y/n)-senpai! Which high school did you go to previously to the point that your skill is top notch!?", Hinata complimented making the girl have a soft red hue on her cheeks, both from tired and embarrassed but more on the embarrassed side.
'Ah...I shouldn't be telling them the truth that I have been playing with veterans all my life', she looked away and smiled sheepishly, "I don't play it at my high school, though I did play with some university students".
The coach nodded his head in acknowledgment, "I can tell from your way of spiking and receiving, that you've been doing this for a long time, especially with pro". (Y/n) quickly shook her hand in the air, "n-not pro! Just university students, that's all", her sweat trickled down her face as Shimizu gave her a small towel to wipe her sweat. "Thanks, Kiyoko-senpai", she smiled at her before looking at Daichi and the coach, "so umm... can I join the boy's volleyball team?".
The coach laughed out loud, "If you are a karasuno student then, of course, you can join HAHAHA", he smacked her back playfully. "Great! When can I start?", she jogged back to her bag and coat to take it. "You can start getting to know the members for now so you can gain their trust", the coach grinned.
As the girl turned around to look for Kageyama, she waved at him, "hai! Kageyama was it?". "Osu! It's Kageyama Tobio, first-year", he stood right in front of her, he looked puzzled while looking at her before his expression changed into a scary-looking face. He leaned over, "Where did you learn how to spike? Urk! Senpai!".
Her eyes went wide at the sudden change of his demeanor, she raised both her hands up in a defensive way before tilting her head, "Calm down Tobio". "That's right! that's right!", Hinata piped up next to her. Tanaka then walked up to her, still glaring at her, "Just so you know I don't like you". She laughed at his reaction, "Aww ~ but I like you", she joked.
Her response made the bald-headed second-year take a step back, "Y-you, are you gay or something?". She spared a glance at him before stifling a peal of laughter, in a sneering way, "Think what you want~ Anyway Tobio I learned it in the States from previous matches, so I just watched it and practiced it".
He leaned even closer making the girl take a step back, "th-then! Can you show that video to me?! Um! Senpai!". Daichi grabbed Kageyama by his collar to give some distance between the two of them, "Calm down Kageyama, you're gonna scare him". Hinata then squeaked, "Then senpai, where did you learn how to spike? Your spike was soooooooo precise! So cool! Like fooshh! And wham! Then baammm!!", he started jumping around her, making the girl laugh, "it also amazes me that you're able to block Azumane-senpai! Can you teach me?? Please, senpai!!".
Tanaka thought to himself, 'If he's gay, then hanging out with girls on impulse is normal!'.
"I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi, a first-year, nice to meet you (Y/n)-senpai", Yamaguchi greeted while shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you too, Tadashi", she smiled back at him. Tanaka then interrupted, "Hei, I'm Tanaka Ryunosuke, second year just like you, I'm a wing spiker", he rested both of his hands on his hips with a knowing look on his face.
"Nice to meet you Ryunosuke", she grinned.
"I'm Nishinoya Yu! Your receive was so gooodddd", the shortest of the team members jumped around, "I'm a libero by the way!". "Figured! Nice to meet you, Yuu!", she smiled while tilting her head to one side. "Um! Senpai!! Can I toss for you? I want to practice", Kageyama yelled out since he was being ignored the whole time after his 'aggression'.
Before (Y/n) could reply to him, the coach called everyone to stand in a line while he called her to stand next to him. She obediently stood next to Coach Ukai and finally had a good look at all the members of the volleyball's team since they were finally all together.
"Today, we had a new crow joining us, he showed us potential both his offense and defense, learn from each other to become even stronger! Let's give him a great welcome, Ouno (Y/n)!", the coach clapped his hands making all the members clap their hands and Shimizu finally came up to her with the volleyball uniform.
"Welcome to the boy's volleyball team!!", the team members yelled in excitement.
