"Hei", the grey-haired boy started while Daichi guided the warm-up as per usual. She hummed in response before sparing a glance at him. "I know it's a bit late to ask but how did you get the permission to join us in Tokyo?", he continued to ask.
She looked at him and looked at the ceiling, before replying with a small voice, "My neighbors". His lips went agape after hearing her reply, "You're joking?", he looked into her eyes to see any signs of playfulness that he always sees only to see her blank stare. "H-how in the world..?", he asked as he halted his warm-up to study her expression.
She smiled cheekily, "I'm great at negotiating, even they won't realize I'm negotiating with them, senpai".
He rose an eyebrow before following Daichi's lead for the warm-up, "Well, I can't disagree to that, but will that be okay?". She whispered again, this time close to his ear, "I told the teacher that my neighbor is my guardian and he accepted it". He covered his red ears, "O-oh? Th-then good for you". She chuckled, "Why are you covering your ears, senpai? Sorry if it's ticklish", she tilted her head with the cutest smile he had ever seen making him go doki doki.
Surprisingly, Kageyama who was listening in on their conversation saw the cute smile on the two-toned-haired girl and froze there, with the heaviest blush on his face. All of them thought, just what is this (Y/n)-effect that has been going on since the first time she came? She was like a walking magnet. Heads would turn, not only girls but boys as well. Some would even question their gender identity.
"Oh? We're finished", she grinned before skipping over to the coach to talk about today's training.
"I....... Am I...not straight?", Kageyama was glaring at nothingness before Hinata jumped around him to take a peek at him. "What are you talking about, Kageyama?", he peeked. Kageyama looked at Hinata and glared even more, 'If I look at this annoying shrimp, I don't feel the same way, then... am I not gay?', he shifted his glare from a scared Hinata to a smiling (Y/n), 'huh? Why is my heart beating faster than before?'.
"Oi Kageyama! Snapped out of it, we need to train our serve", Hinata jumped right in front of Kageyama to block his view from (Y/n) who was finally looking at him. "You!!", he started grabbing Hinata's face with one hand, "Hinata-moron!!". "Ah, by the way, Tobio and Shoyo", she called while jogging over to both of them. "Y-yes! Senpai!", both of them stood still in a straight line.
"How did your talk go with the vice-principal?", she rested her hands on her hips while eyeing the two. The two slumped their shoulders and their eyes looked like a dead fish. "He said he's increasing the passing mark for us to pass into 90....", Hinata said groggily. "Oh my...", she paused for a second before she hummed to herself, "Tomorrow I'll try to convince him to decrease the passing mark BUT you still have to do your best okie?", she playfully winked at them.
Their eyes brightened as they immediately held one of her hand each, and replied in a loud voice, "PLEASE TAKE CARE OF US (Y/N)-SENPAI!!!". She could giggle, "Just focus on your studies with Hitoka, Chikara, and Tsukishima, alright? Then let's practice diving".
After a comfortable conversation between the three, they started practicing diving for receiving, then practicing serving by targeting the empty bottle on the edge of the court.
That night, right before they left, Hinata was clinging onto her to help him with English, he wanted to score excellently like his two seniors who aced in English only. The three of them were walking side-by-side heading to Sakanoshita Store where they usually continue to revise or having a mini-test. She hummed a bit and looked at the store sign, "well~ depends I guess".
"Depends on what, senpai?", Kageyama interrupted. She grinned ear-to-ear, "depends on your behavior", she went inside the convenient store. For the longest time, this was her first time coming inside this particular convenient store that belonged to Coach Ukai.
"Behavior?", they looked at each other following her in suit. She walked around the store, while the two were still following her from behind.
"oi, if you're not gonna learn, I'm off", Tsukishima's voice could be heard at the front of the store's door, making the two who were following her halted and rushed to Tsukishima. She stifled a laughter before buying some snacks and ice cream. After Coach Ukai rang the snacks, she paid with her cash and walked over to the 5 first-year.
"Here, you need to eat for your brain to function well", she smiled and placed the snacks and ice-cream on the table, making the three hyper first-year cheered and thanked her. "Senpai, are you gonna teach them?", Tsukishima asked in a bored tone before taking a seat across Kageyama. "Not for today, Tsukishima", she smiled down at him, before ruffling the hair of the closest person to her, which was Kageyama.
"I'm just gonna watch you guys for today", she watched as Yachi gave Hinata an English past year paper for him to do while Tsukishima gave Kageyama a set of Modern Japanese literature past year papers. She opened one of the ice-cream and hummed in delight, "ice cream after training is the best".
They gulped while looking at her, including an embarrassed Yachi, 'bishounen-senpai can become hot at times'.
