It's been a year since his fight against Kong. Godzilla had been patrolling the ocean, as it was his duty to bring order to this planet he was living in, along with the other Titans as well as humanity. He knew that not all of the Titans were sent to dormancy, as some of them were still awake during his search for Ghidorah's remains, just like the time when Amhuluk attacked Behemoth in the Amazon Rainforest, Scylla attempted to feed on a lost nuclear warhead at the coasts of Savannah, Na Kika went captured by some Titan traffickers, and even Tiamat engaged him in a fierce battle at his now reclaimed lair within the Hollow Earth.
He and Kong were on good terms for now after they fought each other, and an artificial Titan named Mechagodzilla, an anti-Titan weapon constructed by Apex Cybernetics to establish humanity as the apex predator by surpassing the Titans, was also innately designed to kill Godzilla. However, they made a huge mistake during the construction of Mechagodzilla, using the remains of Ghidorah's desecrated skull as a key component of the remote control system. Due to this, it took over the mechanized Titan using its still-active consciousness. But it was destroyed, thanks to the two of them teaming up against the Titan killing machine back in Hong Kong, when Kong delivered the final blow by ripping off its metallic head as it was severely damaged by the Simian Titan's axe that was powered by Godzilla's atomic breath. Kong was now living in the Hollow Earth as he embraced his new home and kingdom, while a newly established Monarch Hollow Earth outpost watched over him. After that, Godzilla returned to his duty of maintaining balance around various parts of the world if any possible threats would happen.
However, little did he know that something big was about to happen soon.
As Godzilla was about to step on an island to rest, his eyes widened as he looked towards the horizon when he sensed something was off. He sensed that there's something that might provoke his nature once again, just like the time when he last sensed Ghidorah's presence around the world. So he decided to return to the ocean to follow this unknown force he was sensing, as he might call on the others to aid him against this strange phenomenon.

In the seas near the island, the waves splashed calmly against each other, and the sound of seagulls filled the air as they circled above, waiting to dive down and strike at any unsuspecting prey. Then a pod of humpback whales surfaced to take a breath as they had traveled a long way to find a good spot to dive down in search of food.
It was truly a peaceful afternoon, but as usual, in these seas... there's always a bigger beast.
The seagulls suddenly began to screech and cry in fear when they sensed something massive swimming from the ocean depths and started to fly away. The whales sensed it too and immediately began to dive into the ocean darkness, hoping to avoid whatever was coming towards them.
