The curse himself rumbled across Mindscape, shadows clawing at everything, trying to corrupt. Flintgold's form hissed and bubbled with rage and sadism.

Jasmine was sitting at a table made off skulls, drawing up plans.

"Child." A dark voice growled in a low tone. "Has that mind of yours come up with anything useful?"

She looked up in surprise. "I'm trying, but it's really hard when I can't take over. I really am trying." Jasmine said, looking a bit ashamed.

"Trying isn't doing. If you haven't succeeded, you've failed." Flintgold hissed. "And why are you still in that form? It makes you look like one of the Ciphers."

She quickly shifted out of her form. "I like it... I really am trying, but Tiffany's blocking me. She never goes near her brother."

"Well obviously the brat's not letting you near your target." The curse scoffed in annoyance. "You either need to find a way to control her or to bring your form out of her."

"How? I don't have any idea on how to do that. Once they see me, won't they protect him?"

"Has your idiotic mind never heard of invisibility?"

"I don't think I have that power." She said, looking down.

"Well then, learn it." He demanded.

She shifted back to her preferred form and fidgeted a bit. "I-I don't think I can... I can't learn powers."

"Well I can. I have no idea how we're the same species."

She looked down. "I'm sorry."

Flintgold sneered at her. "You should be."

"I-I-I'll try harder. I can kill him! I know I can..." She ran her finger across a blade.

"You better." He grumbled. "You better, or I'll destroy you myself."

She was silent for a while. "How long do I have?"

"A week."

"Ok... Um, Flintgold?"

The darkness seemed to stare at her. "What."

"My purpose is to kill William. What's your purpose?"

"My purpose is to torment and cause the most destruction to the world around me."

"Oh." She thought for a moment.

"Anymore questions before you stop wasting my time?"

She shook her head. "My plans to kill Will aren't working..."

"Well then, figure it out, you idiot!"

"I don't know how! I... I need help."

"Too bad. Curses don't get help." Flintgold nearly started laughing.

She crossed her arms, glaring. "Then I don't wanna be a curse!"

He hissed, darkness surrounding Jasmine. "You insignificant PEST! You are NOTHING compared with me! You aren't allowed to defy me!"

She shrunk, her form flickering in and out before it settled on a identical version of Tiffany.

"GET OUT OF THAT FORM, YOU FREAK."

Jasmine whimpered, "But, i-if I look like Tiffany, then I can get near William, and kill him." She quickly explained.

A red dot suddenly appeared in the darkness. "They will never believe that. There will still be their Tiffany."

"I-I can do it when she's hanging out with her friends! Or I could tie her up-" Flintgold cut her off.

"It won't work. These silly plans never work." The darkness continued surrounding her, making everything feel suffocating.

She whimpered, "But you told me to find a way... I thought that- that if it-"

"It. Won't. Work. Learn the invisibility spell, and do what your purpose is."

She nodded, shifting out of the form.

"Good." He hissed, the red glow glaring at her.

"H-How do I learn it?"

Symbols, the curse's language, started appearing around Jasmine. "These are the instructions."

She quickly read them, trying to memorize it. "How do I bring my form out of her?"

More symbols appeared around her. "I'm being generous by giving you such help" Flintgold grumbled.

She nodded and wrote it down quickly. She suddenly remembered something. "Um... What happens when I complete my purpose?"

"You'll be given another. We are everlasting. You will be given the task to kill the next youngest son of this wretched family."

"And I'll leave Tiffany?" She asked, her form flickering again.

"Most likely."

She crossed her arms, looking upset by this fact. "But... I like her."

Flintgold paused for a moment. "You've gotten attached to her."

"No! Well, yes, but-" She stammered.

"Curses don't get attached."

"But I did... What does that mean?"

"It means you're a mistake." He said simply.

She looked down. "I'm gonna go kill him."

"Good. Otherwise I'll destroy you myself."

She gulped and went to cast the spell.

Flintgold grumbled under his breath, the red glow around him darkening.
