Isabelle Greene-Cipher walked down the street holding Tiffany's hand. It was their two year anniversary tonight, and Tiffany had taken Isabelle down to the pier to celebrate. Isabelle looked up at her wife's blue eyes and smiled. This was perfect. "Tonight was so awesome, Tiff, thank you."

Tiffany smirked. "Anything for my favorite Emerald." She kissed her wife on the cheek.

Isabelle kissed her back, her cheeks flushing slightly. "And you're my favorite Sapphire. I love you," she murmured.

Tiffany grinned. "Come on. I have one more surprise."

Isabelle's eyebrows furrowed slightly as she looked up at her wife, but she nodded nonetheless. "What is it?" She asked in a whisper.

"You gotta follow me to find out. I'll race you." Tiffany said, running ahead

Isabelle rolled her eyes. "I swear you're just doing this because you know I can't run in heels," she groaned.

"Well then why'd you wear heels to the ocean?" Tiffany called teasingly to her wife, turning around and beginning to walk backwards.

Isabelle stuck her tongue out at her wife. "You know exactly why! I wanted to look pretty for you for once!" She shouted back.

Tiffany walked back over and brushed Isabelle's emerald hair back. "Aw... Is, you always look pretty. No matter what."

She flushed slightly at her wife's comment. She turned to look at her and smiled. "Oh, Tiff, stop, you're the pretty one here. I have nothing on you."

"You have everything on me!" Tiffany protested.

Isabelle shook her head and scoffed lightly. "Nah. I mean, I'm just an Emerald. A basic Emerald."

"If I ever hear you call yourself basic or anything that doesn't imply that you're the single greatest person on this entire planet, and that includes mashed potatoes, again, I'm gonna steal all your sushi and rent a screen in Times Square, on which I will announce to all of New York how utterly amazing and beautiful you are." Tiffany said, pulling her wife over to the sky gondola ride.

Isabelle's eyes widened as she followed her wife. "Sapphire, y-you aren't serious, right? I mean, renting a screen in Times Square-"

"Try me." Tiffany grinned dangerously.

Her wife's smirk was all it took for Isabelle to turn beet red again. "Don't even! You're just saying that, you wouldn't actually do that. Please don't actually do that." She pleaded.

The two stepped on a gondola together. Tiffany, who was shorter than Isabelle when sitting, leaned her head on her wife's shoulder, her breathing slowing down.

Isabelle placed her arm around her wife and pulled her close. She looked down at her slightly as the gondola sailed away and kissed her wife on the cheek. “And you're sure I'm more important than mashed potatoes?" she joked.

"Definitely." Tiffany muttered, texting someone quickly. The gondola suddenly stopped completely and Tiffany sat up.

Isabelle tilted her head, and her eyes widened. "Oh Axolotl, Tiff, are we okay?" she asked, glancing around.

Tiffany grabbed her hand. "Look." She said, pointing towards the ocean.

Isabelle turned her head and gazed into the vast, deep ocean. She couldn't understand exactly what she was supposed to be looking at, but she still looked in the direction Tiffany was pointing.

A fireworks display suddenly started going off, a mixture of blue and green fireworks, all in beautiful designs.

Isabelle's eyes widened as she watched the beautiful display. She gasped in surprise and glanced over at her wife. "Did you arrange all of this?" she asked softly, looking at her with awe.

Tiffany stuffed her hands into her dress pockets, a sly smirk on her face. "Maybe."

"But you said you didn't have more surprises!" Isabelle exclaimed in shock. "You planned this the whole time!?" She leaned in slightly to give her wife a quick kiss on her cheek. "I absolutely adore you."

A firework went off, and the words, 'I love you Emerald.' appeared in the night sky. Tiffany looked at her wife. "Love you too."

Isabelle stared at the fireworks display in awe. "What have I done to deserve you? Really! You are absolutely incredible," she exclaimed. Her wife was her best friend and her soulmate. The fireworks continued exploding and casting their bright lights all around them.

The gondola started to move again, and, for seemingly the first time, the cold night air hit Tiffany, making the blue-haired girl shiver.

Isabelle noticed her wife shaking and pulled her close. "Hey, hey, you'll catch your death of cold out here. Why don't you come under my jacket with me? That should help keep you warm," she suggested gently.

Tiffany snuggled into her wife. "Nah. You're all the warmth I need." She said, a stupid grin plastered on her face

Isabelle smiled slightly. "No, you're freezing. You should really come under my jacket right now. Or else!" she threatened playfully, and she pulled her wife closer. Tiffany smirked and rolled her eyes.

The gondola landed, and the couple got off, both exhausted from the night. "Issy, I don't care what you say. I'm gonna drive you home."

"Tiff, you're barely keeping your eyes open right now, I should absolutely be the one driving you home," Isabelle argued, despite the fact that she too was very close to falling asleep.

The two plopped down at a table. Tiffany looked up at Isabelle. "Ok, how about we call a Uber instead?"

"That sounds much more reasonable, actually good idea, Tiff." Isabelle replied with a yawn.

"When will you learn that most of my ideas are good, and just really badly executed?" Tiffany muttered, a tired, playful smirk on her face.

"Yeah, yeah. But you need to learn that not all of your ideas are that great, so there." Isabelle yawned again. "Let's just get home. I'm exhausted."
