"Get up," Jasmine said, scoffing as she glanced at William’s unmoving body. "I've done worse to you. And if you don't then everyone else you care about is next."

The ten year old remained unresponsive. Jasmine rolled her eyes, beginning to walk away. But that stupid little voice in the back of her mind nagged at her. The curse sighed, and walked back over, kneeling down. "Please," she said. "Please get up. Please don't die on me.”

There was silence. Cold, merciless silence. Jasmine sat there for a while, muttering to herself. “What is wrong with you? He's dead, that was your job. Kill the kid, then move on to something new!” She lectured. “Who cares if he was the only person who was ever nice to you? Who cares if he made you want to be better?!” She shouted.

Jasmine took a breath. “He was stupid and naive to ever trust a monster.” She whispered, shutting her eyes.
