After we had all calmed down about Ross coming home, it was past Raini's bedtime. Ross picked her up and gave her a piggyback ride. She seemed uncomfortable at first, but soon lighted up to it.
Ross put her down in her bed and wrapped her Dora bedsheets around her small body. He kissed her forehead. I did the same.
"Night Raini." Ross said.
"I love you daddy." She responded.
I said goodnight to Raini and walked out of her room, closing the door behind me.
Ross had a huge smile on his face with tears running down it. I smiled and wiped the tears away with my thumb. He grabbed my face and I wrapped my arms around his torso. He kissed me. This was the first, spark flying, kiss we've shared in eight years.
I pulled away and grabbed his hand. We walked into the living room and saw Riker and Emily watching a movie. They had already put Ryder in their guest bedroom.
We told them about Raini saying that she loved Ross and how she called him daddy. Emily teared up while Riker hugged his little brother.
We finished watch the movie and went to bed.
Ross and I climbed into the bed. He put his even more muscular arm around my waist and looked at me. I smiled and kissed his nose. "You missed." He smirked. I giggled, knowing what he meant. I kissed his lips and his grip around my waist tightened.
I fell asleep after kissing the man that I promised I'd love him no matter where he was. He's right here now. And I still love him.
