Chapter 37

8 years later....

"Raini!" I called. "Coming mommy." She called back. She raced down the hallway of our teal, one story house. "Go and get dressed babe. Ryder will be over in just a few minutes." I said as I kissed her forehead. She raced back to her room.

I sat down in the kitchen. I sighed and out my head in my hands. This would be the first time that I've seen Riker and Emily since they got married, had Ryder, and moved to Florida. And that was 8 years ago.

Raini ran back out of her room. she had a cute dress on. I smiled and picked her up. She giggled and smiled.

Raini got all the attention being an only child. I had a miscarriage my last pregnancy. I sighed at the memory.

The doorbell rang. Raini looked at me and smiled. "Uncle Riker! Aunt Emily!" She screeched as she ran up and gave them huge hugs. I was shocked at how well she was handling this. Riker pulled away from the hug with Raini and looked at me. I put my hands over my mouth and walked over to him. I began to cry. He hugged me. I hugged Emily and invited them to sit down.

We chatted for a few minutes. Suddenly, Ryder screamed. We all jumped up and ran to the living room, where the kids were playing. We walked in and saw Raini on top of Ryder. They were wrestling. I picked Raini off Ryder and held her. She squirmed but I was to strong.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

I fell to the ground as the muscular arms that I love picked me up and held me.

"I told you I'd come back Amanda."

"And I always believed you Ross."
