~Gilinsky's P.O.V~

"Okay Matt, just shut the hell up already!...Nobody cares!"

Johnson fires back at him, for the hundredth time today. Looking back at Lex, I can tell that I'm not the only one who had had enough of the subtle tension and NOWHERE NEAR subtle jabs the guys keep making at each other. She awkwardly rubs her arm, biting her lip and looking over to me.

Her eyes widen and look between the two blondes before quickly returning their gaze to me as if saying, do something.

I throw my arms up shrugging. I mean we both know what this is about, but I can't just out right tell them to get a grip.

"No, you fricking idiot, we're going in the wrong direction!"

"Matthew, the ride is literally right there."

"GILINSKY JUST SAID HE WANTED TO GO ON THE ONE OVER THERE."

I clear my throat, "actually I said that when we were right beside it, twenty minutes ago, but I'm down for whatever guys."

Johnson raises his eyebrow, his face settling into a smug position. "See Matt? Now if you could kindly stop talking."

"Whatever."

The tension grows as the silence does. I kind of feel like choking as we approach the ride. I look over at Lex again to see her arms crossed, the discomfort in her eyes evident.

I scratch the back of my head, looking at my feet, before ushering stubborn Matt and Johnson over to the back of the short line.

Well it's supposed to be a short line.

But Matt and Johnson start arguing again.

And that makes things feel longer. Hella longer. Not to mention, looking up at the ride, I realize it's not a fast one. As in, that gives Matt and Johnson more time to argue, and less time to just scream their heads off for a few minutes so I can actually breathe.

And there is no way in hell I am sitting through some dumbass ride with these two fighting over where we're going next. So when we finally get to the front of the line, I watch as Matt and Jack buckle into their seats, grumbling - before grabbing Lex's wrist and running.

"WHAT THE HELL JACK?"
"UM GUYS?"

I ignore the call of the idiots and laugh as we keep pushing forward. Finally we reach a closed food truck on the side of the walk, and I stop, resting my back against it. "Did we lose them?" I open one eye, peeking at Lex, both of us slightly out of breath.

She nods, laughing. "Thank you, by the way."

"For?"

"Getting us out of there. It felt like we were third-wheeling a very intense old married couple."

I laugh, "No way. That was way too vicious for a married couple."

"You'd be surprised at my great uncle and Aunt. Fight like hell, but when they're ready, they're the sweetest couple you could meet."

"You saying Matt and Jack would make a cute couple?"

"No no...But as a fan, their friendship seemed pretty great before," she hesitates, "...and Kate's not gonna be talking with either of them for a while because of the bathroom fiasco yesterday so..."

"...She won't be picking who she likes more. Meaning they'll have to solve this on their own." I piece it together, somewhat concerned.

Lex nods, looking at her feet. "Do you think it'll be okay?"
