Rebekah's pov

2 weeks later

If I'm being honest, living with Draco may have been the best decision I ever made in my life. I mean sometimes I miss my home but ever since that abandoning hoe came I could hardly call that a home from now on.

And what sucks most is that I can't figure out how to get her to leave. I did some digging on her and I found some interesting information but none that could scare her away, although that doesn't mean I will stop looking.

I'll do anything to make her leave once and for all.

~

I spoke to dad about her and he explained half of her life experience as a vampire. Got to admit it sounded pretty cool, being immortal, not aging or ever dying, but she's only the bad parts, there's hardly any good in that woman.

Dad also said there is some sort of poison for vampires and it's called vervain. It's a flower and apparently a very deadly one for someone like Katherine.

I immediately asked dad if there's any vervain around here and as if he made my day he said yes. We even had some planted in our yard, but to not my surprise Katherine had gotten rid of them as soon as she found out about them.

That bitch.

Although I won't stop until I get my hands on it. Dad also told me she had the power to control your mind with this thing called compulsion, but if we had the vervain it would prevent her from controlling us.

I have to get the vervain. Or else I and dad will be slaves to her nasty manipulation.

I have read about vampires in many books so I was wondering about her being able to walk on the sun, and dad explained how she had some witch make her a 'daylight' bracelet so she wouldn't burn.

If only I get my hands on it...

I'd happily watch her wither in flames.

And like I had won the lottery I found out how you can kill a vampire. A stake in the heart.

Bingo!!

With this much information Katherine should be running for the hills, something she does best. But I can't figure why she came back.

For me, hell not.

Or she's planning some massive mastermind attack that will screw us all. Either way I have to stop her, before she gets her way in then she'll be stuck here forever.

~

Oh well, school is starting soon and for once I'm excited more then anyone. At least I'll have something distracting me for the rest of the year, maybe I should try contacting someone from her life and learn more about her, and her weaknesses.

But how?

~

"Hey princess." Draco's voice brought me from my thoughts as I shot him a look. He was only in a towel, wrapped around his waist, his hair were dripping with water as well as his body.

My eyes trailed down as he flashed one of his famous smirks. I roll my eyes and huff.

"Real mature of you."

"What? You're the one who can't keep your eyes off of me." He shrugs walking away and I groan.

"Did you seriously spend half an hour in there? What were you doing, a karaoke concert?" I ask him rolling of the bed. "Just admit you like my singing. A man with a voice like mine should not waste it's talent." he said confidently and I chuckle.

His arm snakes around my waist as he pulls me into a deep kiss. I smile in it as I sigh pulling away.

"What were you thinking back there? I could see you were in there deeply." He asked me and I sigh sitting down.

"Katherine."

He gives me a sympathetic look and sits next to me, holding my hand. "Did she say anything to you lately?"

"No. I was just wondering how can I learn more about her. Trying to find something that will scare her away for good." I scoff and he chuckles.

"I'm here if you need an assistant." He said pinching my cheek as I smile nodding.

"Thank you." I said leaning my head against his shoulder. We stay like that for a while until we hear a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Draco asked as we both stare at the door.

"It's me honey, mom. Breakfast is ready, are you both joining?" Narcissa said behind the door.

"Yeah, we'll be down in a minute." And with that say Draco makes his way to his closet while I waited for him.

~

Dinner was good but quieter then usual, lately I haven't been the most social person so we just made small talk about the wedding. Narcissa and Lucius did not try to hide their excitement and it made me so happy.

"I take it your moth--," Draco shots a look at his father and Lucius clears his throat. "--Katherine... will not be attending the wedding?" I simply shook my head and he nodded. "It's better that way, I can hardly stand her at my own house which explains why I'm staying here let alone have her at my wedding, the day that's supposed to be the happiest day of my-- our life." I said holding Draco's hand.

"We understand sweetheart, she will not join." Narcissa smiled. "She sure will find a way through." I muttered but they didn't hear, only Draco did as he kissed my cheek for comfort.

"Thank you for dinner guys, I'll head to bed now." I placed my fork down and slowly rise from my chair. They nod softly at my comment as I made my way upstairs.

~

I slumped into the bed with a heavy sigh. Then I remembered school is starting tomorrow and I haven't even packed. I groan lightly rolling my eyes, getting up I quickly wrote to dad that I would come by the house early to pack.

I gave the letter to my owl and shooed him away then again fell back down on the soft mattress. I hope this school year will be enough distraction, cause I so desperately need it.

It wasn't long before Draco walked in and he approached me, getting under the sheets and swept me in his arms, holding me tight. I sigh cuddling closer to him as we exchanged goodnights, not even bothering to brush our teeth or anything.
