Chapter 7
The Prince
Sebastian

Sebastian trudged along the snowy cliff, only this time he had a large eagle taking refuge around his neck under the cover of his hood and a girl following his steps exactly. Jordan had her arms wrapped around herself as she took large steps, placing her boot into Sebastian's footprints which were ten times her shoe size.

"It's cold" Jordan complained "and I'm hungry how far is this guy's place?" Sebastian turned back to help Jordan over a particularly thick area of snow "not much further."

Jordan groaned taking Sebastian's hands as he lifts her up and over "can't we just, not take him?" She suggested Sebastian eyes her over his shoulder as she sighs in defeat.

The snow continued to fall lightly but the wind made it difficult to stay warm, hence Biron's current position much to Sebastian's annoyance

"can I have the bird now?" Jordan asked jumping into Sebastian's next footprint like you would a puddle

"no" he said.

Despite acting annoyed Biron did keep the cold away from Sebastian's neck really well, he stepped over a large fallen log "he was my scarf first!" Jordan protested climbing over the log "can't you use your magic to avoid the cold?" Sebastian pointed out as they came to a path.

It was iced over and lead up to what looked like a house half built into the side of a hill, Sebastian offered a hand to Jordan helping her across the path so she wouldn't slip "now why would I do that when I can just make you lend me your cloak." She grinned sliding over the ice like a baby doe, Sebastian huffed holding both her hands up like you would a child.

They made it to the door, the inside of the tiny cottage glowed in a warm yellow light. Heat emitted from the door and Jordan collapsed against it knocking lightly "gods let me in I'm begging" Sebastian thudded his fist against the door.

Silence stretched for an uncomfortable moment before he knocked again, there was a scurry inside and a familiar voice cursed "what? I didn't think postmen came up here".

"Open the door Abert" Sebastian said roughly, the door cracked open slightly and Abert's two beady eyes stared up at him.

"Nope" he said quickly slamming the door shut, the siblings stood there stunned for a moment

"oh well we tried! Can we go now?" Jordan turned to leave but Sebastian held her back by her hood. "I'll knock this place down Abert".

"Go away! I didn't sign up for this!"

"So you know war has begun?"

"Why else would you be up here for? You don't visit me for any other reason!" Sebastian felt like he was going to pop a vain.

Jordan raised a dark eyebrow at him "you didn't visit him, why aren't you friends?" Sebastian opened his mouth to answer but Abert cut him off "I thought so too! Apparently not!" Sebastian groaned loudly.

"Abert if you open the door I'll..." he sighed heavily "I'll let you touch the wings" the door opened suddenly, and Abert peaked through.

"You serious?" His dark eyes shined brightly at the idea of touching Sebastian's rare godlike wings.

There's a long tense pause before Sebastian gives in "yes-" the door swings open and the siblings tumble in.

Abert's house is rather small clearly made for one person, the house it quite bright and packed with random objects and jars filled with things moving. Sebastian brings his shoulders in trying to avoid knocking into something "come on! Let me see" Abert demands taking Sebastian's coat off.
