"I'm so happy for you, Porsche." Pete said  sincerely. Porsche beamed at him, smiling like a lovesick fool. They are currently out at Tankhun's pond to smoke and talk for a bit while Vegas and Kinn continued their discussion about the new bar they are planning to open.

"Thanks, Pete. You're gonna be my best man and I won't accept no for an answer."

"Well, I'd be honored." Pete smiled back.

Earlier at the family dinner, Kinn and Porsche announced their engagement and everyone was thrilled. A series of congratulations were said to the couple and Tankhun is calling dibs on the wedding plans. Everyone groaned at that but nobody had actually argued.

"Hey, not to pry but did you and Vegas talked about marriage yet?"

Pete took a long drag of his cigarette before answering.

"We actually didn't. I guess we're too focused on getting back on our feet and raising Venice that the topic must've slip off our minds." Pete laughed and shook his head.

"Well, that bastard better hurry on putting a ring on your finger before anyone could snatch you from him." Porsche joked and Pete nudge his shoulders.

"Stop talking nonsense. I'm not going anywhere far from him, Porsche."

"Look at you." Porsche ruffled his hair. "That devil really made you fell hard, huh?"

"Oh, shut up! You're the one to talk. As if you're not head over heels for Khun Kinn." Pete replied as he swatted Porsche's hands off his hair.

"Sssh. Keep your voice low. He might hear you and that's gonna go straight to his head. He doesn't need an ego boost, Pete." They both giggled at that.

The place looked magnificent and Pete felt like he's in some fairytale movie. The venue is sparkling and everything looks polished and expensive. Despite Tankhun's wild ideas and bizarre tastes, this one turned out great. He didn't disappoint as the head wedding planner.
As he walked down the isle together with Porsche, his eyes scanned the crowd looking for Vegas. When his eyes finally landed on him, his heart skipped a beat. Vegas is so handsome in his suit. He is holding Venice in his arms, raising the little one's hands to wave at Pete. Vegas had a fond look on his face and his heart flutters in his chest. They look so adorable in those matching outfits.

"You're red as a tomato and you look like you're seconds to drooling over your boyfriend." Porsche whispers and it was enough to get Pete's focus back on walking in the isle. He wants to complain about how long the isle was but the words died down in his throat when he finally saw who's with Kinn at the end of the isle.

On the other end was Kinn looking all nervous, excited, and about to cry. Beside him was Kim with an expression he can't read, except his eyes were on him like he's been looking at Pete for quite some time now. The color slowly drained from his face. Suddenly, his hands feel cold and his feet feel heavy with every step he took towards them. A series of flashbacks swept over him and he felt his body shudder as cold sweats form in his temples.

"I want a beach wedding someday." Kim said out of the blue. They are currently at the rooftop on his apartment to stargaze.

"Aren't you too young to think about weddings?" Pete asked and chuckled at Kim's statement. The younger man pouted.

"I'm already 19, Pete. Besides, I already have the man I wanna marry. What's wrong with planning ahead?" Kim replied while grabbing Pete's waist so the older man will move closer to him. Pete felt his cheeks flush as Kim enveloped him into a tight hug, his chin resting on his shoulder.

"Silly! 19 is still young." Pete said, trying to sound neutral even if his heart is beating erratically in his chest. For heaven's sake! A 19 year old is making his heart go wild.

"But I'm already of legal age. Plus I'm starting to make my own name even without Pa's help. A few years from now, I'm positive I will have enough money to buy a house and marry you. We can even leave this hellhole and live comfortably somewhere far from this mafia bullshit." Pete turned around to face Kim, his eyes scanning for a hint of teasing but all he can see was determination and sincerity.

"I swear I'm gonna give you a better life someday, Pete. With no bullets and guns that keeps one of our foot in the grave. We're gonna live freely and happily with lot of cats." Pete's eyes watered at Kim's words.

"We're gonna have cats?" Pete asked, his eyes twinkled at the thought. "Yeah. We can even have a cat farm if you want." Kim replied as he hugged Pete tighter, his voice full of hope and resolution. Pete believed him with all his heart. Only to get it shattered a few months later.

When Pete imagined himself standing face to face with Kim at an altar before, this wasn't the scenario he was expecting, to meet there as best mans of somebody else's wedding instead of getting married to each other.
