"I think we're due for a little chat," he heard him say on the other line. Kim knew this day would come. A part of him even hoped this would happen sooner than later. His lips curl into a smirk, already guessing what's on his cousin's mind at the moment. They are both Theerapanyakuns after all, he and Vegas are not that different when it comes to jealousy and possessiveness. In fact, there were times when they even bonded over it because they both understood each other and had an unspoken agreement to never cross the line. Kim and Vegas are more alike than they would like to admit.

They settled on meeting at a secluded bar, a common ground between the main and minor family. Once Vegas spotted his younger cousin, Kim was greeted with a punch to his jaw.

"Not even a 'hello', cousin?" He replies, riling him even more while messaging his jaw. He could almost hear him cracking his knuckles and he could not help but also clench his fist.

"I think we're past that, Kimhan," Vegas says in a cold voice. If he was a normal person, he would probably start running for his life. But he's not. None of them were.

"Tsk. You're no fun, Vegas."

"Don't worry, little sh*t. We'll have so much fun once we start talking about how you've been trying to snatch away my husband."

Kim held back a snarl at his older cousin's remark. He did not want a reminder that Pete is married now to his devil of a cousin.

"Oh, is that why you're so riled up? Are you threatened that Pete might come back to his senses and leave you for me?"

"Pete is mine. He says so, himself. He wouldn't leave me for someone like you," Vegas said through gritted teeth. "You've hurt him enough. I won't let you hurt him again."

Kim let out a humorless laugh. "Funny because Pete also said that to me. And he was mine first, Vegas. And you've hurt him too, or have you forgotten that part?"

Vegas grabbed his collar at looked him straight in the face, eyes murderous. "You're the smartest among your siblings, Kimhan. You should know better than to run your mouth like that. You know nothing about Pete and I. And you weren't there when he needed you, so don't act like you're better than me. I may have hurt him but I will spend the remaining days of my life asking for his forgiveness and making it up to him. You, on the other hand, will remain as someone from his past. Irrelevant and unimportant."

Kim wanted to thrash at his cousin's words and say it was not true. He is important to Pete, he reminds himself. Pete cares for him. He always does.

"He loved me first." He says quietly but loud enough for Vegas to hear. He felt Vegas' grip on his collar tightens at those words.

"And you wasted that chance." Vegas let go of Kim's collar. He would love to punch his cousin's face and beat him bloody but he told Pete he would just check out the new curry shop downtown.    It would be suspicious if he came back home with bruised knuckles and a bloodied shirt.

"Stay away from, Pete." He says instead, his voice hard and steady. "If you value your life, you know better than to do otherwise." With that, he left Kim and went straight to buy the spiciest curry on the menu or Pete would have his head if he came home empty-handed.

_____________

"Was it good?" Vegas asked as his husband was busy stuffing his face with that devil food a.k.a. the spiciest curry Vegas had ever tasted. He even thought his tongue would fall out when Pete prompted him to take a bite. But alas, he loves the man so much that he cannot say no when he says pretty please.

"Yesh...itsh shoo good," Pete replied with his mouth full and still busy munching. Vegas's heart swelled with fondness and love. Pete is so adorable.

"Slow down, love. That's all for you. No one's gonna take it away." He says while wiping the sauce in the corner of Pete's mouth. Pete beamed in return and Vegas swore he would buy all the spiciest curry in the world just to see his husband smile like that. He cannot help but kiss his lips, ignoring the sting that comes from the sauce. He loves this person very much. Vegas wouldn't let anyone take Pete away from him. For once, he found a family of his own. No one is going to ruin that. Vegas would make sure of it.
