You're welcome, new first year. Welcome to Jujutsu Tech," Yaga's words echoed in my mind as we left the nurses' office. The gravity of my new reality weighed on me, but his reassurance offered a glimmer of comfort amidst the unknown.
As we walked through the academy's corridors, Yaga's presence remained a steady guide. Eventually, we arrived at a door, and he turned to me with a warm smile. "Here's where you'll be staying," he said, opening the door to reveal a cozy dorm room.
I stepped inside, taking in the simple yet welcoming space. It felt like a refuge, a place where I could gather my thoughts and prepare for the challenges that lay ahead.
"Thank you," I said, gratitude lacing my words as I turned to Yaga.
His gaze held a mixture of understanding and encouragement. "You're welcome. Make yourself at home. You'll find your schedule and other essentials on your desk."
I moved towards the desk and saw the neatly arranged papers. My schedule was there, along with some other information about the academy and its facilities. I skimmed through the pages, noting the classes and training sessions that were ahead of me.
"2nd year? But I just arrived?" Confusion colored my voice as I looked up at Yaga.
He nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Yes, you're right. However, due to your unique situation, I've decided to place you in the same class as the second years. I personally train them, and having you alongside them will ensure that you receive proper guidance and training."
The realization slowly dawned on me. "You're teaching both first and second years?"
Yaga's smile was understanding. "Indeed. While we currently lack enough teachers to provide individual instruction for first years, this arrangement will allow you to benefit from their experience while receiving the attention you need."
I nodded. "Thank you."
With that he left, leaving me to get settled in my new dorm room. As I looked around at the space that would be my sanctuary amidst the challenges that lay ahead, a sense of both excitement and uncertainty washed over me.
*Holy fuck, what's going on?* I thought, sinking onto the bed and allowing the weight of the day to finally catch up with me. *Curses, sorcery, and training with the second years? This is not what I signed up for.*
I ran a hand through my hair, frustration mixing with a hint of determination. *But maybe... maybe this is exactly what I need. My memory's a mess, but my gut's telling me this is important. And Yaga seems to think so too.*
As I stared at the ceiling, the reality of my situation began to sink in. *I'm in a world that defies logic and reason. Every corner seems to hold a new mystery, a new challenge. And the second years—I can't deny that I'm both intimidated and curious about what they can teach me.*
Sighing, I let out a breath that felt like it had been trapped within me all day. *It's not like I have a choice. This is my life now. And Yaga... well, he's been nothing but supportive. Maybe he sees something in me that I don't.*
A faint smile tugged at the corners of my lips. *Here I am, thrust into a world of curses and sorcery, with memories that are nothing but a blank slate. But I won't back down. I'll face whatever comes my way, learn what I can, and maybe—just maybe—uncover the truth about who I am.*
As I closed my eyes, the weight of the day and the promise of tomorrow seemed to converge, creating a strange sense of excitement and apprehension that pulsed through my veins.
*Alright, Jujutsu Tech. Let's see what you've got!*
