Y/n's day began with a sense of anticipation. As she got ready for the day, the thought of a break from training brought a smile to her lips. Today was one of those rare occasions when they didn't have any training scheduled, giving her a chance to catch her breath and perhaps spend some quality time with her friends.

Dressed in comfortable casual attire, Y/n left her dorm room and walked down the hall, the familiar surroundings of Jujutsu Tech becoming more and more familiar with each passing day. Her destination was Leiri's room, a place where she had found camaraderie and support.

She reached Leiri's door and gave a light knock, the sound echoing in the hallway. Moments later, the door swung open to reveal Leiri, who greeted her with a warm smile.

"Hey, Y/n! Come on in," Leiri said, stepping aside to allow Y/n to enter.

Y/n stepped into the room, the familiar sight of Leiri's space greeting her. "Hey," she replied, returning the smile. "How's your day going so far?"

Leiri shrugged, a playful glint in her eyes. "Can't complain. It's nice to have a break from training for once."

Y/n chuckled in agreement. "Definitely. So, any plans for today?"

Leiri leaned against a desk, crossing her arms. "Well, I heard that Utahime and Mei Mei are planning something fun. They invited us to join them in the courtyard. You up for it?"

Utahime and Mei Mei? Y/n realized she hadn't met them yet. The prospect of making new acquaintances piqued her curiosity, and the idea of a casual gathering sounded appealing.

Y/n nodded, a smile forming on her lips. "Sure, why not? It could be a great opportunity to meet more people and have a good time. What time are we meeting?"

"About an hour from now. Gives us enough time to relax a bit," Leiri replied.

Y/n nodded, feeling a sense of excitement building within her.

That's the spirit! Let's head to the courtyard and see what they have planned."

An hour later, they made their way to the campus courtyard, where a small crowd had already gathered. Amidst the chatter and laughter, Y/n's excitement grew.

Leiri excused herself momentarily, leaving Y/n to join the group on her own. As she stepped in, she noticed Gojo standing there, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Well, well, if it isn't Y/n," Gojo's voice rang out, his tone playful and his smirk ever-present.

Y/n couldn't help but roll her eyes, used to his teasing by now. "Oh, look who's here, the master of subtlety," she retorted, her own playful banter matching his.

Gojo chuckled, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary. "I just can't resist a good opportunity."

Leiri rejoined the group, a friendly smile on her face as she introduced Y/n to the others. Among them was a girl named Utahime, whose demeanor seemed a bit reserved. Y/n greeted everyone with a smile, making an effort to be friendly and open.

As the conversation flowed, Y/n noticed Utahime's occasional glances in Gojo's direction. There was something in her gaze that Y/n couldn't quite decipher. It was almost as if Utahime was observing Gojo with a mixture of curiosity and... something else.

Utahime soon struck up a conversation with Leiri, leaving Y/n alone with Gojo for a moment. His subtle flirtatious remarks continued, and Y/n found herself engaged in playful banter with him. Despite his teasing, there was a charm about him that she couldn't deny.

Just then, Utahime returned with a smile, accompanied by Mei Mei. Y/n exchanged greetings with both of them, feeling a sense of camaraderie. However, as the conversation progressed, she couldn't help but notice Utahime's occasional glances in her direction, each one filled with a hint of unease.

_____

The more I observed, the more I began to sense an underlying tension in Utahime's demeanor. While she kept up a friendly facade, there was an unmistakable unease in the way her eyes occasionally darted between Gojo and me. It was as if she was measuring our interaction, her expressions betraying a hint of discomfort.

I couldn't help but wonder if there was a specific reason for Utahime's behavior. The dynamic between her and Gojo seemed to hold more significance than just casual camaraderie. Could it be that she was harboring some feelings—perhaps even jealousy—toward my presence in their conversation?
_____

As the playful banter continued, Gojo's charismatic demeanor seemed to grow even more pronounced. I couldn't help but chuckle at his antics, his ability to effortlessly engage everyone around him. And then, in a move that caught me off guard, he casually draped his arm around my neck, a friendly gesture that was tinged with a hint of flirtatiousness.

My heart skipped a beat at the unexpected closeness, and I found myself momentarily captivated by his magnetic presence. But my attention was soon drawn to the subtle shift in Utahime's expression. Her features tightened imperceptibly, and she seemed to subtly lose her composure.

Without drawing much attention to herself, Utahime excused herself, slipping away from the group and disappearing into the crowd. The abruptness of her departure left me curious, a nagging suspicion forming in the back of my mind. Could it be that my interaction with Gojo had caused some kind of reaction in her? It seemed unlikely, yet the subtle tension that had been building was now impossible to ignore.
