I was sitting in a quaint café, sunlight streaming through the windows and warming the room. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and pastries lingered in the air, creating a sense of comfort and nostalgia. I looked around, feeling a sense of familiarity wash over me.
At a corner table, two figures were seated across from each other. Their faces were obscured by the sunlight, but their presence felt like an anchor to my past. As I approached, the details of the scene sharpened, and my heart skipped a beat.
One of the figures was me, but different—more carefree, with a lightness in my eyes that I had forgotten. The other figure was a man, his warm smile and gentle expression pulling at my heartstrings.
"Y/n, you're always lost in thought," he said with a chuckle, his voice a melody that resonated within me.
I laughed, the sound light and carefree. "I can't help it, Tatsuya. There's so much to think about."
Tatsuya—his name echoed in my mind, and a sense of warmth enveloped me. The memories were so real, so vivid, that it was as if I had been transported back in time.
He reached across the table and gently took my hand in his. "Well, let's focus on the present for now," he said, his thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of my hand.
As I looked into his eyes, a rush of emotions flooded my senses. Love, comfort, a connection that transcended words. In that moment, I realized that Tatsuya was more than just a memory—he was a part of my past, a piece of my heart that I had lost.
The vision continued, scenes shifting like Whispers of a forgotten past. Walking through a park, hand in hand, the sound of our laughter mingling with the breeze. Sharing quiet moments, talking about dreams and aspirations. The feeling of being known, understood, cherished.
And then, a sense of unease crept in, like a cloud casting a shadow over the idyllic scenes. Whispers of uncertainty, glimpses of sadness. A moment of vulnerability shared between us, a realization that life wasn't always as perfect as it seemed.
The vision shifted once more, and I found myself standing in a crowded street, the world around me a blur. Tatsuya was beside me, his presence unwavering. But as I looked at him, his form began to fade, the details slipping through my fingers like sand.
"No, don't go," I whispered, my voice lost in the cacophony of the city.
Tatsuya turned toward me, his expression a mix of sorrow and understanding. "Remember, Y/n. No matter where life takes you, I'll always be a part of your story."
And then, as if a gust of wind had carried him away, he was gone, leaving me standing alone in the bustling street.
My heart ached as I woke up, the vividness of the vision still lingering in my mind. The room was shrouded in darkness, the soft glow of the moon casting a faint light through the window.
As I lay there, my thoughts a whirlwind of emotions, a sudden knock at the door broke the silence. Startled, I sat up, my heart pounding. "Who is it?" I called out, my voice shaky.
"It's me, Leiri," came the voice from the other side. "Open up."
Confusion mingled with relief as I quickly got out of bed and hurried to the door, pulling it open to reveal Leiri, her expression a mix of concern and determination.
"Are you okay?" she asked, her eyes searching mine.
"You were screaming! What happened!?"I hesitated for a moment, the vivid memories of the vision still fresh in my mind. "Im so sorry I-...had a strange dream, I guess."
Leiri's gaze softened, her concern evident. "Do you want to talk about it? Your face is damp with tears!"
I touched my cheeks, not realising I had been crying.
I blinked a few times, trying to make sense of the situation.I shook my head, No, it's fine. Just one of those weird dreams that you can't shake off." I gave an apologetic smile.
Leiri nodded, her understanding evident. "Well, if you ever want to talk, I'm here. We've all had our share of strange dreams."
"Thanks, Leiri," I said softly, appreciating her presence more than I could express.
She smiled, her warmth radiating. "Anytime. Now, get some rest. Tomorrow is another day of training.
With a reassuring pat on my shoulder, Leiri turned to leave, her footsteps fading into the distance as she returned to her own dorm.
I closed the door, the room returning to stillness once more. As I climbed back into bed, I couldn't shake off the feeling that the vision, the memories, were more than just a dream. With a sigh, I closed my eyes.
