Iris's pov'

"Mr.Irene, you have visitors." I walk up to the glass and watch him get up immediately, he's definitely happy someone other than me is here to see him after years.

"Who is it?" He asks with furrowed eyebrows, he's confused about who that could be too.
I look down at the names and who they confirmed to be.

"Margot and Dahlia Koren? More specifically you cousin and your niece." I smile at him and see his own get bigger too, he couldn't believe it I could tell but he was happy nonetheless and that's all that mattered.

"Are you for real? Are they here right now?" I nod and he covers his mouth, turning around and letting out a happy yell, thanking god that he finally got a chance to see them again.

"I'm going to bring them in now," I tell him and he turns around to see me walk out and them come in.
"He's ready for you guys." I smile softly at the two. The little girl was curious and happy as she ran inside in her little tutu while screaming out 'Uncle Soren'. I wanted to giggle at her excitement and energy but I didn't want to upset the woman that must be her mom, I assume. She didn't seem that happy to be here.

"Thank you." She said and walked in, I left the door open and stood to the side of the wall because I wanted to give them a little privacy and to spend a little family time together.
I am so happy someone finally came to visit him, it's been so long and I bet he's really going to appreciate this.

...

Two and a half hours later and the little girl whose name I know to be Dahlia has to be pulled out sobbing because she doesn't want to go. She kept screaming out Soren's name and pleaded for him to help her but he knew he couldn't do anything about it and I felt sad for that reason.
He deserves to meet his family in a better kind of way, a more humanly kind of way but no, my boss was cruel enough to not allow him to get out of the room just this one time.

I walked inside and instantly felt the tension that was still lingering in the air.
They were trying not to fight in front of the baby girl but I knew his cousin Margot wanted to have a serious and private conversation with him. She was holding some things back and it was so obvious.

"Are you okay?" I ask him standing close to the glass. He was sitting on the edge of his bed and his head in his hands.
He doesn't move for a while and I don't talk feeling like he needs the silence for a moment to think and calm himself down.
I sit down and watch him pull at his hair and breathe heavily, clearly showing that he's very much not okay with what was discussed and decided between him and his cousin.

"I fucking hate that bitch, I am going to kill her." He curses out, his threat not surprising me at all because people say that all the time when they're angry with a person.
I say that too on occasions, like when my boss upsets me.
He surprisingly hasn't said anything to me in a while and that surprises me but I hope it keeps going like this because I like it more this way.
"She doesn't want to keep seeing me anymore and she said I can't see my niece again. What is she fucking dumb? On crack? I am going to murder her if it means I get to see her again." He's not making eye contact with me and I know he's very angry and doesn't want to picture anything and that would get his mind off what happened between him and his cousin.
"She can't keep me away from her, she's mine too, I held her in my arms when she was two days old and...I can't imagine never seeing her again." He finally looks at me and his eyes soften, his anger dies down and he stands up from the bed to approach the glass and press his hands against it.
