Chapter 16

Ayato pov

I've been watching over (Y/N) as she slept, Its been a few days...the doctors say its okay that she sleeps for a awhile. Her body was trying to recover. Apparently there were heavy doses of drugs in her system. She was lucky to live at all. I watched her chest rise up and fall...as she took in shallow breaths of air. I sigh reassuring my self that she was back safely..then falling asleep at her bed side.

Your pov

You didn't know where you were or how you got into a medical room. You tried moving your finger tips but they where stuck under something soft.. You slowly gaze downwards seeing blue hair covering your hand. You smile at the sight of Ayato passed out.

Your chest was hurting it felt like someone hit you with a truck...your leg though looked so deformed and it hurt allot. "Ayato?" you mutter..hoping he would hear you.."Ayato!" you mumble. nothing. You sigh then slowly turn your hand over that was covered by his lovely dark hair and pulled on it. "Mmm." Ayato mumbled and tucked your hand further under his head. Now you could feel his breath on your fingertips. "Ayato?" you sigh his name. "Huh?" you raise an eye brow at him as the sleepy ghoul blinks up at you. "Hey" you smile. "(Y/N)" he gasps and stands up touching the side of your face. "Your awake!" a smile broke out on his face. Ayato tells you what happened since you've been out. "They haven't even started your leg yet" huffs Ayato. You sigh and squeeze his hand. "I'm done with Aogiri.." Ayato whispers you look at him with shock. "What?" you ask "I almost lost you...I could of lost you...I can't live with that...not with your life on my hands." Ayato says as he squeezes your hand. "And I want you to come with me." You stare at him wide eyed.

"Ayato..I need to tell you something.." You wanted to tell him now..no interruptions this time. "I Lov-" your cut off when his lips cover yours you stare wide eyed seeing his perfect features up close. Then you slowly close your eyes and kiss him back. "what where you going to say?" he asks as he breaks the kiss "I lo-" again he kisses you ruffly this time. Then breaks away with an evil smirk "what was that?" "how can I answer when you keep doing that!!!?!" you snap at him. "Okay okay say it." He twirls your hair in his fingers. You watch him and slowly open you mouth hesitating. "well if your going to hesitate then don't tell me." He mumbles with frustration. You laugh at him then slowly moved your hurt hand to his face. "I love you Ayato." You say and this time you kiss him. "I love you too (Y/N)" Ayato says as he breaks the kiss.

A few weeks later

You where moved to your room and where able to roll around in a wheel chair...Minx's wheel chair really. Your leg was fixed and in a cast. Ayato had been hunting and giving you loads of food. Your injuries where almost gone except for the scar on your chest and leg..and also your wrists..Also Ayato and you have been together now.. Ayato has been watching over you..Ayato was focusing on leaving Aogiri..Minx and Blanca where sad to hear that you where leaving but were also happy when they heard about you and Ayato...

Ayato pov

It was dark and I was watching over (Y/N) sleep. I have been taking suicide victims for (Y/N). I have been working my butt off to get out of Aogiri. I just prayed they would leave us alone once we where gone. Eto kept saying I would come back one day...I had another mission to finish in Aogiri but I didn't care about that..I wanted my future with (Y/N)...and maybe one day my sister Touka and I would be on good terms.

Almost every night (Y/N) would wake up from pain or from memories of what Ashton had done to her. But I would calm her down and tell her it was okay. And she would fall asleep once again.

I felt (Y/N) stir in bed I look up from the sleeping position I was in I was sleeping on the chair. I would of gladly slept with (Y/n) But with her leg I don't want to hurt her. I was known as a bed hog....I heard (Y/N) whimper as she slowly began to move. "Ayato?!" she whimpers as she slowly opens her (E/C) eyes and looks up at me. "Shh its fine I'm here" I say leaning over and kissing her forehead.

The next morning Eto summoned me so I left a note to (Y/N) and some meat by her bed. I walked to the meeting hall where Eto, Kaneki, and Tatara sat. Kaneki reading a book like usual and Eto kicking her legs over the table. Tatara..being Tatara..."Are you sure you want to leave?" asks Eto with her high voice. "Yes this is my decision." I say with out meaning in the words. "It isn't because you feel guilty? about ms. (L/N) now? is it?" she asks. "No." I speak as I picture (Y/N). "When I leave I'm taking (Y/N) with me and I want you to leave us alone." "Oh really now!" Eto slowly walks towards me. "What a shame she was such a nice pawn..." Eto sighs. I grit my teeth at the word Pawn..."But your like a castle...are you sure you want to leave the board game already?!" Eto tilts her head over to one side. "I'm taking her with me and that's final." "Then you wont be able to do your mission?! wasn't that why you joined Aogiri?!" "I can still finish it with or without Aogiri."

After speaking with them I went to join (Y/N). She was sitting up in bed reading. When she saw me her face lit up and she smiled. Who knew I would of fallen for my best friend....I smile and sit beside her. As long as I had her this world wasn't so bad.
