Ayato X Reader Tokyo Ghoul

Chapter 8

You enter Lab 1 seeing Ayato, Tatara, and Eto discussing something. Ayato notices you and walks over to you. "So why am I here?" you ask as you walk beside him back to Tatara and Eto. "It was I who summoned you" Tatara says "But the note had.." you begin but are cut off by an amused giggle "Oh well we knew you would come if it said Ayato" she says.

"We've been studying those files and vials you brought back with Porpora" Eto speaks with a creepy smile. "We are working on a cure for it." Tatara says as he glances at the ghoul scientists who were all examining the vials. "We want to keep this quiet for a bit..until we are sure we can make a cure for it" says a female ghoul as she walks up towards you guys. "Hi I'm Dr. Otieku" she says as she puts her hand out. "I'm (Y/N) (L/N)" you say as you shake her hand. "We think if we can by pass the chemicals with human blood then boil it with ghoul blood it might change the effects" Dr. Otieku says "Thats not really a cure?" you say as you glance up at Ayato. "We know it isn't but..if it can slow down the process then its better then nothing. Who knows how many ghouls we could lose to this." Eto hums as she sits down criss-crossed. "So..what now?" you ask. "Now we focus on the cure...and as that's happening you will be giving us a report on what happened" You slowly clap "okay I'll get right on it!" you say sarcastically as you begin to leave. "(Y/N)" You turn around before you went out the door. "Yes?" you reply to Eto. "Make sure to keep this quiet" Eto says with her evil alvin and the chipmunk voice. "Will do."

You where making your way back to your room you where tired and your ankle was throbbing for rest. "(Y/N)" you here Ayato call out to you. "Ayato?" you reply back but don't stop walking. "Is your ankle okay?" he asks as he catches up to you. "Yeah its fine" you say as you look down at your ankle to make your your not lying to your self. "Okay" Ayato mutters as if relieved. "Why did you ask? are you worried about little me" you say with a smirk. "I'll kick you" he threatens "Uh huh I know you will" you pat his shoulder with a smirk on your face still. "So how are you going to right the report?" "how? I don't know" "I know you love reports" he says with a little sarcastic in his voice "Yay me!" you retort as you stop outside your room. "Well let me know if you need anything.." Ayato says you raise an eye brow up at him. "What? I'm asking because.....you shouldn't be walking on it that much" he quickly says as he combs his hair back "Smooth...very smooth" you shake your head and laugh at him. "Well I'm tired so good night Ayato." "Goodnight (Y/N)."

You lay on your bed and sigh "I don't want to write a report!" you cry out then go to sleep with thinking about the stupid report.

The next morning you woke up with a knocking noise on your door. You moan with sleep in your eyes as you put your pillow over your head. Your here the door open. "Its rude to walk in uninvited" you mumble "well I brought you some coffee" you hear Miska say. You turn over and pull the pillow off seeing your mother with to mugs of coffee. "OOh Coffee" you sit up and take the mug "Thank you" you say as you take a sip. "Don't thank me thank Ayato he told me you liked coffee in the morning" "well he does know me" you mumble as you silently thank him for the coffee. "So I wanted to go shopping with my daughter today!" Miska says with joy "really? shopping? you have money?" you raise and eye brow "well of course not your buying" she laughs you didn't think it was to funny. "Great mom breaking me already" you mumble.

It took an hour to drive your mom to the mall. And of course like all mothers they chat about all the clothes they want what they want what you want etc. "I can't wait! so exciting!" Miska squeals. "Yay" you huff as you park. "Oh hush big baby lets go shop!" she says. Your mouth drops open when she said big baby. Now you know where you get it from. "Oh I think you would look beautiful in this!" Miska squeals as she pulls out a white dress with pink cherry blossoms working the way up and stopping almost half way up. "I look bad in white" you lie..you didn't like white. "We'll take it!" Miska grabs pairs of shoes to go with it. You just watched as all your money was spent for her pleasure and you carried all of the bags. "Are we done yet?" you mumble as you finally set down some bags to lighten the load. "OH no we just got here 2 hours ago! the shopping never ends dear" Miska enters another shop "No more!" you gasp as you pick up more bags until an idea hit you. You grab your phone and send a text saying:

911 at mall.

Send.

You giggle and put your phone back and carry the bags again. After an hour you see the blue hair moving threw the crowds up to you. Ayato looked like he was going to have a heart attack. "Whats wrong!?" he gasps for air "Oh nothing" you say "no..nothing???" he rasps "No." you smile evilly "why 911 me?" he finally gets his voice back. "are you out of shape?! noo way!" you gasp as Miska comes back with more bags "Oh Ayato how nice to meet you here!" she says as she hands you the bags. "Nice to see you out an about Mrs. (L/N)" Ayato says glaring at you. Your mom smiles and walks to another store "why in names did you call me! then!" he snaps. "Oh I had a perfectly good reason" you smile. "Here" you dump all of your bags onto him "what!!!!!!!!!!!" he almost screeched "indoor voices" he glares at you "my arms where getting tired. And you said you would do anything for me." you pout He sighs, making you smile "Thanks for coming anyways!" you smile bigger. You notice he wasn't wearing what he usually always ALWAYS wore he was actually wearing blue jeans and white jacket. "Wow did you change to come into public?!" you gasp as you stare him wide eyed "well...I thought you were in trouble and if I wore my regular clothes the CCG would notice me." Now you feel guilty cause he changed fast to hurry to you. "Thank you very much...I'll buy you something" you promise. He snorts and walks past you to the store where Miska was buying more stuff and throwing it on him making you giggle. Suffer Ayato you think evilly as you walk beside him.

Ayato collapses on your bed when you get back. You unbury him as you put the clothes in bags down. "I am never coming to your aid again" he pants. "Your getting old" you mumble "I'm.....Not...Old" he pants slowly pointing a finger at you "I'm not OLD either!" you snap slapping his finger down. "Oh you two are to funny" Miska laughs as she pulls out the clothes and takes tags off and puts them in the hamper.

Miska left to go find Porpora leaving you and Ayato in your room.

"So..do you think they'll find a cure?" you ask as you lay next to him. "Eh" he mutters "I don't really care" he speaks with no sense of feeling about the ghouls that could die. "But so many lives could be lost?!" you say thinking about the families that could be endangered. "People die all the time (Y/N) its life" you look up at the white ceiling. "I guess your right there...but still" you close your eyes and hear Ayato shifting over onto his side facing away from you. "This feels familiar..remember?" he whispers. "Yeah" you remembered how you and Ayato would sleep on the cold hard ground but you two would be a lot closer like hugging to keep warm. Ayato chuckles as if remembering something. "What is it?" you ask opening your eyes and shifting over until you were staring into his back. "Oh nothing..just how you kept fidgeting about how we kept warm back then." "Yeah yeah it was weird! you would do the same thing if you where me!" you glare at him even though he couldn't see it. "You would always say the strangest things when you don't know what to say or how to react" he continues "Oh really? that sounds a lot like you mister." You retort you here him snort at your words of wisdom.

Ayato sits up and stretches "I need to get going" he says as he slowly get up off the bed. "See ya around AAAyato" you smile as you curl up in your bed. "Don't count on it" he smirks at you then leaves with those words.

1 Week later! :D

Aogiri was finally almost recovered many ghouls where now able to do missions again.

Your ankle has finally stopped aching after a week. you can walk around without it giving out. You and your mom have gotten closer and yes she has made you suffer more with shopping. But you where able to drag Ayato with you sometimes Minx or Blanca but you liked watching Ayato suffer. You where on your bed reading when you heard loud shouts coming from the hall. You slowly sit up and sigh Now what? you make your way towards the door when Blanca starts banging on the door. "(Y/N)!! (Y/N)!! OPEN UP!" you hear Blanca shout. You open the door seeing a panicked Blanca. "What is it?! whats wrong?!" you demand. "Its Minx! come on!" Blanca grabs your hand dragging you down to the infirmary. "What happened?! Blanca! where is Minx?" You ask as you try to catch up with Blanca so that she isn't dragging you behind her. "Minx is dying! and so are other ghouls!"
