"Mr. crowley? Mr. fell's isn't here anymore, remember?" Muriel had said, as soon as they opened the door, seeing a familiar red haired man standing in front.
Crowley, —he slightly disclosed his mouth, as his head went tilting up, "No, no- I'm not here for him- I'm here for a book." He stated, then went entering without a permission, or warning, —(he's used to it anyways, since aziraphale was never bothered whenever he does that.)
"Wait! What kind of books are you looking for?" Muriel went following him, almost knocking out some displays, —focusing their eyes at the demon, as they both hovered across a table.
"Not that you know."
"Oh, I know few!" Muriel assumed, continuing on following crowley, "well.. just few.."
"I'm sure you do." Crowley cuts himself from walking, "where's the bookshelf here?" He asked, as he fix his eyes at muriel, who looked baffled, "what bookshelf?" They asked, skeptically.
Crowley groaned, "those thingy called shelf—that you store your books with- whatever humans do with it!" He analyzed, gesturing out his hands, as he struggles to find words to explain.
"Yes, I know what bookshelves are." Muriel said, simply.
"Yeah, then where is it?"
Muriel pulled a face, "which one?"
Crowley then again groaned, "that one who's placed here!" He said, pointing out his hands in front.
"Oh! That one.. yes, I do remember it!" Muriel responded, with a grin.
"Good, then where is it?"
The angel smiled, as they rolled their eyes, playfully, "I don't know."
Crowley went blank for a moment, "what do you mean you don't know?" He asked, as his eyes went solemn.
"I just don't know..? I mean, I've seen the bookshelf then, but when you and mr. fell left, it just disappeared."
Crowley shuddered his head, "no- no. That's not possible- did you do something to it?"
"No, i don't- what do you need it for, anyways?"
Crowley Hesitated, "I can't tell you."
"Of course you can! I don't tell secrets! I'm just happy others actually put their trust on me by chance, so why breaking it?"
Crowley sighed, as he hesitated, "well.. it's this empty book I found on Aziraphale's room—"
"What are you doing in mr. fell's room at the first place?" Muriel interrupted him.
Crowley rolled his eyes, "do you want me to continue, or do you just finish it by giving questions?" He asked, sarcastically.
Muriel nodded, "right, sorry, carry on!"
"So, I was saying. —I found an empty book on his room- I don't know if he's seen it, cause the bloody book really looks a bit old." He started, "I took the book, secretly, —then the next day, we had an alcoholic night—"
"Wait!" Muriel then again interrupted him, "what's an al..cholic..?"
Crowley pulled a face.
"Right.. no questions, sorry.. please continue."
Crowley groaned, thinking this is all a waste of time, —but since he had no other things to do, he'll probably just rather talk to muriel, than die in boredom, "so... I got really drunk, and started writing a confession letter- and as well inappropriate words.."
Muriel paused for a moment, "ah... that's- well..." they stuttered, then pulled a smile, but failed, "since you're looking for the bookshelf, I would guess you- by chance, put it in there..?" They asked, almost slipping a chuckle, but contained it.
Crowley hesitated, "...yes."
Muriel, —they couldn't stop themselves, as they let out a laugh, "I'm sorry-" they excused, controlling a laugh, but failed.
"You're not helping."
