There was immense relief hidden behind Lucien's mask. You didn't betray them after all. Then the man in front of you stiffened and looked back at the door to your cell. It was clear that time was running out.

"If you see Tamlin, please tell him to wait." You whispered as you hugged Lucien tightly.

"Tell him that I will always love him and that I'll come for him no matter what." Your voice shook a little when you said those words, and so did Lucien's.

"I will. Stay strong Feyre." He gave your shoulder one last squeeze and with that, he was gone, mere moments before the guards passed your cell.

Lying down, you snuggled into the cloak your friend left you. It was nice and soft, smelling of flowers and morning sun. When you closed your eyes, you could pretend you were back in the Spring Court.

Alis' voice will soon wake you up for breakfast. And bright, vibrant morning light will pour in as she draws the curtains open. You'll have to get dressed and ready so that you can join the two fae waiting in the dining room.

One of them will definitely comment about how long it always takes you. But you'll just stick your tongue out at him and...

You wondered whether Lucien would be angry if he found out you lied to him.

It stung a bit, but you had to do it. It warmed your heart a tiny bit that he thought so highly of you to accept your lies so readily.

There was no way Feyre would ever fall in love with a monster like Amarantha. Tamlin, the one who kidnapped her and threatened to kill her whole family was a much better choice.
