Aether has been on tour for years, he's always loved it even if he would over-exhaust himself. He and Papa have gotten close over the years and are now mates. Aether always made sure that Copia wouldn't over-exhaust himself and offered to share the workload that came along with being Papa. Copia noticed how exhausted Aether got with helping him with paperwork and helping the ghouls get ready for the tour. Papa made a plan to give Aether time off. He summoned a new quintessence ghoul to take Aether's place on the tour that way he could relax for the summer. He decided to make a nice dinner with Aether to share the good news.

~Time skip to the dinner~

"Amore, come, sit, eat." Said Copia showing him a nicely set up table with red roses in the middle. It was a spaghetti dinner, Copia's specialty. More like the only thing he could cook without burning the ministry down. Aether is the one who usually cooks but he appreciates the spaghetti dinners Copia makes.

Once he sits down on his chair across from Copia who ran to sit down quickly to sit not wanting Aether to wait before eating. Once Aether took the first bite Copia decided to share the news.

"I summoned a new quintessence to take your place for the tour. You'll get to relax this summer." Copia said with excitement. This smile dropped when he heard Aether's fork fall on the ground to find Aether aghast.

"You wanted to go on the tour didn't you?" Copia Asked Aether. He only nodded in response still too shocked to talk.

"I love you too much to see you over-exhaust yourself. It's for your own good Tesoro." Copia said in a panic to his defense.

All Aether could do is get up and walk out the door.

"I'm sorry" Aether choked quietly after opening the door. Looking one more time at Copia with tears in his eyes before leaving quietly.

Copia regretted his decisions. He never wanted to hurt Aether, but he ended up hurting him a lot.
