"Can you stop walking so slow?" Angelica complained, grabbing Eleanor by her arm and pulling her along.
"Ouch, Mum! That hurt." Eleanor groaned, pulling her arm back and rubbing where her mother had pinched.
"Don't speak to me like that! If we weren't in public right now-" Angelica stopped talking as a group of boys about Eleanor's age started to walk past.
"Si nous n'étions pas en public en ce moment, tu aurais été par terre, souffrant sévèrement. Avec la malédiction Crucio sur vous!" Her mother spoke in fluent French, causing one of the boys to look at her.
Sirius recognised the girl as the one at the party the other night, the one who could speak fluent French.
"Je suis désolé, mère." Eleanor spoke.
"Allons donc, fille sans valeur." Angelica continued, pulling the small girl along by her arm, past the boys.

<POV CHANGE>
Sirius was walking through Diagon Alley with James, Remus and Peter. His parents thought he was just going to get supplies on his own but they were greatly mistaken.
The boys were headed to get supplies, for pranks.
But when Sirius saw her, it changed a lot.
"Si nous n'étions pas en public en ce moment, tu aurais été par terre, souffrant sévèrement. Avec la malédiction Crucio sur vous!" The woman spoke in fluent French to the girl Sirius recognised as the girl he met last night.
Eleanor.
"Je suis désolé, mère." Eleanor then said.
Sirius flinched slightly, understanding every word. Why was she apologising?
Mrs Miller uttered some more word in French before pulling her daughter along.
The rest of the Marauders hadn't noticed that Sirius was deep in thought about what was happening to Eleanor.
Was she in the same situation as him?
"Hey Pads, you good?" James asked, finally noticing something seemed off about him.
"Me? No, yeah. I'm fine. Its...someone else I'm more worried about. You won't know them though."
"You sure?"
"Yes James, I'm fine."
"If you say so."

<POV CHANGING BACK>
Eleanor Miller was now heading home finally, after hours of being dragging in and out of shops, with armfuls of bags.
The door opened and her fuming father dragged her by her hair inside.
"Que diable s'est-il passé dans le Chemin de Traverse?"
Eleanor translated that as- "What the hell happened in Diagon Alley?" So she answered in English.
"I got lost in the moment and-"
"Speak in the language I speak to you in!" Her father yells, cutting her off in the middle of her sentence.
"Go to your room and stay there. Aller! Maintenant!" Her mother cut in the conversation after closing and locking the front door.
El scarpered upstairs and made sure not to slam the door not to anger her parents further.
Her mother followed her and she heard a click she recognised all too well.
She crawled into her made bed after changing and fell asleep.

Eleanor woke up in at midnight with the sound of a rat scuttling around her room.
She suppressed a scream as she saw a crumpled piece of paper in its paw.
The rat jumped up onto her bed and the girl opened her hand and the rat dropped the paper in her hand, sort of winked at her before leaving out of the window it came through in the first place.
El opened the paper and it read:
