A/n:Back with another chapter, enjoy guys.

______

Aunty em, a person I would later find out is Medusa, came before us as a middle eastern lady who had everything covered. With even her face veiled away all I had to go off of was her hands. There was as much elegance as there was age to them.

She must have been a grandma far off from her years of beauty.

"It's too late to be alone children, where are your parents?" Her accent only worked towards selling the idea she was just a middle eastern woman we were running across.

"They're... uh..."

"We're in a musician band!" I said stepping forward.

Internally I groaned.

"Musician?" The women said with a bit of confusion.

"Yea musicians?!" Annabeth said looking at me like I was an idiot.

It wasn't my fault music was the first thing I thought of. We just had to hope she didn't tell us to give a little concert.

"Uh... yea we got separated from our agent ? He told us to meet at this gas station if we got lost but I think he forgot or maybe he meant a different gas station?" I said, as I spoke I seemed to gain more and more confidence with the lie.

"Either way we're hungry." Percy said, "is that food we smell?"

"Where are your instruments?" The women asked perceptively.

A bit of nervousness shot through me. "Well uh, we kinda lost them that's why we got separated, we were looking for them."

I couldn't really see her eyes but I could tell she was taking a moment to study me before saying something. After a second she decided to believe us.

"Oh my dears," she said with a as if she was genuinely worried for us. "You must come in poor children. I am Aunty Em, go straight through to the back of the warehouse please, there is a dinning area."

Relief played across our faces as we thanked her and went inside.

"Music band?" Annabeth muttered to me making me look away with a small blush.

"What? I'm not a good liar under pressure." I said wiggling my fingers in her face.

"Moon brain," she said as she shoved my hand away."

I couldn't help but snort, "doesn't even make sense owl face."

The warehouse was full of more of those creepy statues.

The people were all in different positions wearing different outfits and holding different expressions. It felt weird, there was no clear theme here. I mean I wasn't an artist or anything but there should've been some sort of style to this work, right?

I couldn't really think of a sure answer, and as I got closer to the smell though I started to care less and less.

Looking back on it we were insanely dumb, you'd think we would've noticed it was a den of a monster with all the signs, but then again I was starting to float in the air with how hungry I was.

As we got closer I started to ignore how my senses were going off and the nervous whispers Grover gave off or even how Aunty Em locked the door. It was like I couldn't think straight.

All I could think about was finding the dining area and thankfully after what felt like an eternity of searching the back we found it.

The dinning area was probably my most unhealthiest dream.
