Music played in the background as Nikki worked around the kitchen to make breakfast. Today was the last day of her medical leave and she couldn't wait to get back to work. The week she took off when spent cleaning, working out, swimming and shooting arrows in the woods near her house
She spent a lot of time texting Derek and Spencer and having late night calls with Jay and Mouse, even with all of these things she wanted nothing more than to be back at work. A wet nose bumped into her leg, looking down she sees her XL pitbull Sky "Morning girl" Nikki smiled down at her girl
"You hungry?" Nikki turned off the stove and moved towards her dog food. Scooping one cup into her bowl she sits Sky food down before walking back towards the stove to plate her food, sitting at the table she starts eating when her phone goes off
Pausing her music she answers the phone without looking "Angle"
"Hey arrow"
"Oh, hey Derek. What's up?"
"Nothing, was just wondering if you had time for lunch today? Spence and I want to take you out to that new taco truck"
"Hmm, I wouldn't mind. Could I bring Sky?"
"Yeah, no problem. See you around 12"
"Yeah, see you at 12" Nikki hangs up and continues breakfast before she hands out to the woods wanting to shoot some arrows before she has to head out for lunch. She spent the rest of the morning outside shooting arrows and playing with Sky until she went back in for a quick shower
Nikki decided to go with blue jeans, a oversized white shirt and a black jacket over it with her black boots

"Come on Sky!" Nikki grabbed her leash as Sky came running towards her "Come on girl" she laughed opening the door before her gray and white pitbull took off running to her car
Nikki opened the passenger door helping Sky in before she rounded to the driver side. 10 minutes later and a whole lot of people waving at Sky who stuck her head out the window they made it to the park where the food truck was
"Arrow!" Nikki turned to see Derek and Spencer sitting at a bench. Nikki smiled at the boys before releasing Sky from her leash, the pitbull took off running towards the two men. Derek laughed as Sky jumped onto him, his tail wagging happily as the two men pet him
Nikki smiled walking towards the two and Sky "Hey guys"
"Hey Arrow" Spencer smiled sliding over a plate of tacos as Nikki sat down across from them "Hey Spence, Der. How's work going?" Nikki asked as she started eating her food giving Sky some meat what fallon. Spencer smiled and jumped right into what the team was doing as Derek played with Sky by the table
The two just talked until there was a dip in the conversation "So, how are things with Derek?" Spencer blushed a little and ducked his head "I don't know what you're talking about" Nikki laughed dusting off her hands "Spence, I'm not blind. I see the way you look at Derek, and I see the way Derek looks at you"
Spencer looked up at Nikki trying to see if she was lying or not, Nikki caught that and laugh "I'm not lying" she looked over his shoulder "Look"
Spencer turned his head a little to see Derek looking at him with a smile, Spencer smiled back before letting out a laugh when Sky tackled the man to the ground. Nikki laughs as Spencer turns back to his sister "I told you. He really does like you, Spence"
Spencer smiled shyly as Nikki's phone went off. Looking down he sees it's Jay calling "I'm not the only one with someone after me" he smirked when she blushed. It was always hard to get a reaction out of Nikki so he counts this as a win "Shut up" she muttered picking up her phone before walking away to take it
Spencer looked back at Derek with a smile seeing him and Sky rough housing it. Maybe he did have a crush on the man
"Hey Ricky"
"Hey Nyx! How's it going over there?" Jay asked smiling at Mouse who leaned closer to the phone
"It's good, just having lunch with Der and Spence" Nikki looked back at the two and smiled seeing Derek finally sat down, they both were talking with smiles on their faces
"And how are the boys? Finally figure out they like each other?" Mouse asked making Nikki smile even wider
"Hey Mouse! And yeah" she looks back at the two "There starting too"
"Alright we were just calling to check in and make sure your doing okay. We still on for our nightly call right?"
"Yeah, we're still on. Talk to you boys later"
"Bye Nyx/Athena" the boys said before she hung up. Pocketing her phone she walks back towards the table Sky wagging her tail seeing her owner coming back
Nikki scratched Sky head before the three got to talking once again before the guys had to leave for work
